I thought MyCAREER was similar to your user account, or V.I.P. thingy. Somewhere in there it said you can gain VC points whatever you play, whether it be Association or Quick Games, and then spend those points to buy useless shit for your MyPlayer.

Definitely a lot of good info on the game modes. Total Sim Control sounds quite promising; presumably anyone who just wants to sim in bulk and let things turn out as they may can ignore those additional controls but simply having the option to have more influence over simulated games is very appealing. The ability to start an Association later in the year is also a great idea, I can see that being a very handy option to have.

MyCAREER is the re-branding of the mode previously known as My Player. They're referring to the player that one creates within a MyCAREER game as a MyPLAYER.

I still don't buy the new interface. The Create-a-Shoe feature can give me something to do if I get frustrated with the other modes.

I don't know. I'm not sold on all this yet.
An alarming amount of the info so far looks like a case of trying to misdirect attention from core gameplay into trivial, flashy, cosmetics-y peripheral elements, which is Always a bad thing.
It's like NBA 2Ks is getting more mainstream nowadays, so they're dumbing it down to be more accessible by the general 'idiocracy' people of the masses out there instead of the basketball geeks who have been this series' fans before.

The party leadership disapproves of you criticizing the revolution. You will volunteer to be sent to a harmonization camp.

Last year the teammate AI never understood what kind of player you were, whether it be a spot shooter or a post player. In the lead-up to NBA 2K13, an engineer spent two months developing a new recording system so the AI better recognizes your tendencies. If you post up a lot this year, your teammates start to funnel plays your direction. If you’re lingering along the perimeter waiting for a chance to showcase your long distance sniping skills, they know to kick the ball out to you if you have an open look.
No doubt taking inspir

"The biggest sell of NBA 2K13, outside of the phenomenal gameplay and foundation, is the fact that the team at 2K Sports has brought Jay-Z in as an executive producer."
Oh yeah. Jay Z makes all the difference. Up until now when I played basketball video games I thought "if only a rapper got involved." More hip hop = awesome.

Still though, even hip hop fans could probably care less about Jay-Z's involvement in a basketball game.

People exist who buy the game based on who is on the cover, those people outnumber us.
