2K doesn't give a fuck, honestly. They've got a pretty huge fanbase, so they can throw something out like that and people will wait, and wait, and wait, all the while discussing this announcement and building hype. The only deadline they need to keep is the release date. Everything else is fuck-all.

Exactly. Of course, it can backfire spectacularly if the announcement doesn't live up to the hype and/or leaves the fanbase feeling burned by it.

That'd be cool if we could do that real-face thing that FIFA does for a MP. Use pictures of you, or someone, and it becomes the face of our player.

I think it might be cool if you went undrafted and then got to choose which squad to try out for in the summer league, but that would really screw over your starting salary. Btw I actually would like a more RP experience and stuff to spend the money on.

Some other things I thought they may try with MP/CAL is to take "any" Legend (however many they provide) through the draft and play out their whole careers.

Or maybe like the awesome total season conversions here maybe they will let you be any team from "any" season, and of course if they did this they would have to include draft classes.

I am really just hoping for a new engine, collisions, physics, etc. I can't think of anything else worthwhile that hasn't already been touched on at least by modding community.

That's true. My bet is that they are waiting on EA to reveal something about Live 13 and then hit the consumers with their announcement to grab the spotlight.

In which case they should have either just done that, without teasing it first, or left it open. 'In a couple of weeks', then doing nothing for a month, is just the wrong way to go about it.

Maybe the big announcement is that there is no big announcement.

Probably a different initiative entirely.

Biggest announcement ... lol. Some kind of marketing whistle. Workable platform-independent multiplayer mode would be cool, but it is something far less useful. Perhaps international teams, that are participating in the Olympics.
