Save the file in png format. You can import png files to FshX, you just need to start typing in the filename, select it and proceed as normal.

this is my sample of portrait, but the fshX will not read this?what will i do sir?

type the name, cause fshx reads bmp and dds only,.... it can't identify pngs unless, you type the name of the png file

The playerpkg is usually the first 2 letters of the first name and the first 5 letters of the last name.
If the last name is less than 5 letters,then you replace the missing letters with _ .
Example:
Tim Duncan=tidunca
Chris Paul=chpaul_
Also make sure all of the fields are correct in the players.dbf file.
Make sure:
DELETED=False
ISPLAYABLE=True
ISCREATED=False
ISGENERATED=False
And of course,the PLAYERPKG has to match the cf file.
In the appearance.dbf file make sure:
DELETED=False
FACEID=-1

so in order for my portrait to show up i need also to make a cyberface? how bout the cyberface inside the game that will be that will be created in the created player,it does not have a cf file coz it it generated inside the game, except for upcoming rookies coz they are generated by the game, I tried the portrait to them and it showed up.. then how bout for my created player? it doesn't have a cf file?

Generated players actually make use of some generic faces, which you can actually find in the players folder under sgsm. You could always use one of those generic faces with your player; open the .fsh files with FshX, find a face that's a close enough match, copy it the sgsm folder and rename it to match your player's PLAYERPKG. That's how I handle placeholder faces in the roster updates, when a real face isn't available.
