It nearly happened in real life last season. Wade had to hit a game winner with only a couple seconds left for them just to win by one.

Yes - saw that I am in Phoenix. Happy to be playing with Shannon Brown.

Are we in the same starting backcourt?

Somehow I knew Oden wouldn't be leaving your stories  Asik is an amazingly great pick up, good job (Y) Now you got two solid 7 footers to develop and dominate the paint :applaud:

On the otherhand, totally loving Golden State, hopefully I'll be able to win the spot from Klay Thompson soon...a lineup that consists of me, Curry, Bogut and David Lee sounds good :)

December 2012 Recap

Record: 12-17 (7-9) | 5th in division, 13th in conference

Andrea Bargnani continues his push for an all-star spot, putting up big numbers to keep his middling team in the hunt, but at 12-17, Charlotte is falling fast. Playoffs are likely unrealistic, but they've nearly doubled last season's win totals before the end of the calendar year. There is some friction in the locker room between Omer Asik and coach Flip Saunders. After being promised a starting spot during contract negotiations with Charlotte, Asik found himself coming off the bench as a role player due to the emergence of Greg Oden.

Cat of the Month:

Idea for you to maybe try to win more games...start Tyrus Thomas at PF and switch Bargs to SG..he doesn't play defense either way and you'll have a shotblocker in the paint with Thomas :)

Good work btw.

East rookie of the month? Very nice. Am I a starter?

You're doing surprisingly well, though it looks like a doomed run at #8 so far, leaving you with a late lottery pick.

Sorry about the wait. Just got a new job, so have been a bit busier than usual. Since I'm only playing playoffs, it might be a while before I start playing any games. Here's why...

********************

January 2013 In Review

January proved to be a disasterous month for the LOLcats as the wheels seemed to fall off. Charlotte won just one game in the month to fall to 13-31. With the season officially a tanking year, they'll likely need to start giving tickets away from here on out.

The lone bright spot on the team has continued to be Bargnani, who has benefited the most from playing on a bad team. Bargs has put up career highs in scoring and rebounding and could find his way on to his first all-star team. Once Amnesty candidate Tyrus Thomas has had a resurgent season, leading the team in rebounding and being second in scoring.

Cat of the Month:
Image Tyrus Thomas: 12 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 1.5 BPG

Player Averages
Andrea Bargnani: 24.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.5 BPG
Tyrus Thomas: 12.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 1.5 BPG
Bradley Beal: 11.6 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 2.5 APG
Kemba Walker: 11.5 PPG, 4.2 APG, 3.3 RPG
Gerald Henderson: 11.5 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 1.5 SPG
Greg Oden: 7.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG

Southeast Division Standings
Heat: 33-11
Hawks: 26-19
Wizards: 21-25
Magic: 17-27
Bobcats: 13-31

Mid-season NLSC Check-In

It has been a big year for the NLSC rookies as they have proven to be some of the most NBA-ready players in this draft class. The rookie of the year race is shaping up to be between Houston's Andrew Watson and Phoenix's Will Sit.

1. Andrew Watson | 16.9 PPG, 5.3 APG, 4.4 RPG (Rockets: 21-20)
The X is a sleeper rookie of the year favorite, putting up well-rounded stats for a star-less Rockets team
2. William Sit | 23.7 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 1.9 APG (Suns: 19-24)
Sit leads all rookies in scoring by a mile as the first option on the Suns
3. Martti Must | 14.6 PPG, 7.2 RPG (Bucks: 22-23)
Must has done a great job starting at the 4 for Milwaukee.
4. Ray Cer | 6.8 PPG, .494% FG (Raptors: 17-27)
In limited minutes, Cer is a solid weapon off the bench for Toronto
5. Kenny Young: 6.3 PPG, 1.5 APG, .500% 3pt (Nuggets: 23-20)
He was thrilled to be drafted by his favorite team, but Young is unhappy with his limited role on the deep Nuggets
6. Justine Crewhead: 6.2 PPG, 2.4 RPG (Pistons: 20-25)
7. Leo Lai: 6.6 PPG, 10.6 MPG (Warriors: 24-21)
8. Vinson Duroy: 5.9 PPG, 1.5 APG (Magic: 17-27)
9. Janis Kalnins: 5.5 PPG, 1.0 APG (Magic: 17-27)
10. Axel Gomez: 5.4 PPG, 1.5 APG, 1.3 RPG (76ers: 24-21)
11. Julian Martin: 2.5 PPG, 1.5 APG (Mavs: 27-16)
12. Shad O'Greene: 0.4 PPG, 1.5 APG, 5.8 MPG (Wolves: 20-26)

Monthly Awards:

West Player: Kevin Durant (OKC); East Player: Derrick Rose (CHI)
West Rookie: Jared Sullinger (POR); East Rookie: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (WAS)

Looks like I have the same faith in here as I did in ALIB - good individual stats, but no Playoffs. Unless we can hang around the .500 mark and sneak in as the 8th.

Not surprisingly, another lottery year coming for you, which isn't too bad considering you can keep adding pieces (Y)

On the other-hand, not getting a lot of minutes but the team's winning which is the most important thing :) Even Kobe only averaged 7.6 in 15.5 minutes per game in his rookie season, at just 10.6 mpg I'm actually producing at a higher clip (22.4 ppg per 36 minutes!!)

You did already improve to the previuous season.

Now i think its time to lock the lottery pick and survive this year somehow. Bargnani still have a big season scoring 24.5 points a game.

I knew I'd be buried on the bench, particularly since Moody came back. Gallinari and Chandler are both injury prone though, so if one (or both) go down, I'm in with a shot.

February 2013 In Review

Record: 18-37 (5-6) | 5th in division, 14th in conference

With playoffs all but out of the question, all-star weekend proved to be the highlight of the month for the Bobcats, which saw its second all-star in franchise history be named as Andrea Bargnani came off the East bench. Kemba Walker and Bradley Beal also faced off in the rookie challenge. Charlotte recovered from its disastrous January, returning to mediocre basketball, but figure to be headed towards another top-5 draft pick.

Swingman Gerald Henderson agreed to a three year extension worth $10 million dollars.

Nice association going! Hope you get a high pick on the next draft and maybe a playmaker to complement Bargnani :) Noticed in your player averages in January 2013, that you dont have a player averaging more than 5 assist. But I think Kemba has high potential rating though. :D

March 2013 In Review

Team Record: 27-45 (8-8) | 5th in division, 14th in conference

Charlotte had its best month of the season, winning as many games as it lost. It is likely that the younger players will get even more burn over the last 10 games as they look to add another lottery pick.
