Free-agent center Marcus Camby has agreed to join the New York Knicks in a sign-and-trade deal with the Houston Rockets, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Rockets will receive guard Toney Douglas, forward Josh Harrellson, center Jerome Jordan, second-round picks in 2014 and '15 and cash used to pay Douglas' salary from the Knicks. Camby will get a three-year, $13.2 million contract that contains a partial guarantee in the third season, sources said.
What seemed a certainty days ago — that the New York Knicks would match any offer sheet for restricted free-agent guard Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets — became quite unclear Saturday night, after the Knicks agreed to terms with free-agent guard Raymond Felton in a sign-and-trade deal with Portland. The Knicks also received forward/center Kurt Thomas from the Blazers for a second tour of duty in New York. In exchange, the Knicks sent forward Jared Jeffries and center Dan Gadzuric to Portland.

Jason Kidd, who just signed with the New York Knicks, was arrested on Sunday morning on an alleged drunken driving charge, according to Southampton Town police.
Details are still emerging, but Southampton Town police confirmed that the basketball star was arrested during the midnight shift.
Kidd, 39, was arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge on Sunday morning in Southampton Town Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.
"He loves the New York fans," Diepenbrock said. "To have the experience that he had for the two months and for that to be over with, that’s quite a shock to the system. I think he really believed the Knicks would match whatever offer he got."
