Sounded way more interesting and encouraging than the OS preview. We'll have to remain positive and see what's in store from closer-to-final builds of the game.

  • gameplay, online, presentation again
  • gameplay looks at what matters most, responsiveness
  • in? technology, from fifa and nhl, for responsiveness, marries visual quality and responsiveness
  • AI important, teammate and opponent, "move with a purpose"
  • D always rotation, O to get open
  • want to play with pros, and get that across
  • looked at hardcore gamers' frustrations
  • looked at old live games for a base, used tech from across EA
  • not sacrificing rebounding, balanced quality all around
  • all core levels will get to current passing levels
  • ESPN heavily involved with cameras and such
  • art director was in their trucks and producers, cameras 1:1 for each arena
  • pre-game brought in camera people for mo cap so mocaped camera angles (awesome, lol)
  • commentators did great, jeff went off script a lot, "priceless" stuff
  • online is critical, learned from other EA Sports games
  • they have the infrastructure from those games
  • stability and matchmaking are critical
  • live update services through the season, rosters, ratings, and more (mystery)
Opinions are my own.

They're definitely saying all the right things. Here's hoping that we see this stuff in action in upcoming previews and the finished product.

I was hoping they'd mention one or two things about enhancing game modes like Dynasty, though there's a chance we'll hear some good things about that at a later date. It sounds like they weren't a priority but hopefully they still received some attention nevertheless.
