I'm guessing that's the big announcement, then?
Regardless, that is pretty cool. It should be a standard feature though, not a pre-order bonus.
Wed May 30, 2012 11:02 pm
yea, and the Amazon page is not showing the preorder bonus as available for the PC version, similar to last year's classic teams and DLC
http://www.amazon.com/NBA-2K13-Xbox-360/dp/B007M6W38W/I really hope EA doesn't pull any shenanigans like this....

Must not have gotten enough takers from the twitter spam to do the Celeb Game.
Wed May 30, 2012 11:05 pm
Indeed. Mind-boggling that something like this is a pre-order bonus though and not available across all platforms. I guess they didn't learn from the Legends Showcase.

Oh FFS. PC gamers don't get the All-Star Weekend? Even if they're stupid enough to pay extra for it?
Fuck this. I officially hate them right now. NBA 2K13 should be pretty unimaginably fantastic for them to get my monies this year, and make me forget this DLC shit for the second consecutive year.
EDIT: Took me less than 5 seconds to realize I don't care about the All-Star Weekend and have always skipped it. Still sucks that PC gamers get the shaft again this year. Console-exclusive content and a patch that'll come no sooner than Spring will make every 2K forum a very happy place once again.
Let's just hope 2K13 is a good product and that they've done at least some of the things we've asked for, like give us a game without game-/immersion-breaking bugs for once.
EDIT 2: I just wish that what they'd announce are internships for people with programming experience to come over and help. I'd be more than willing to sign up and help them get their shit fixed.

I can explain what they are doing in 5 words making MONEYS with crappy DLC's
Thu May 31, 2012 1:06 am
NBA All Star weekend should already be included in the game. It would be a letdown if fans have to preorder NBA 2K13 just for NBA All Star Weekend.
Thu May 31, 2012 1:35 am
I don't get it, why no all star for PC? I'd love to play all-star. For every good thing that 2K does, they do the stupid decision.
Thu May 31, 2012 1:43 am
Now Gamestop is listing you can get NBA All Star Weekend if you preorder NBA 2K13.

it is still unknown how those who don't preorder are able to play the all star game, it might be locked to association mode, it might not be available at all.
Thu May 31, 2012 4:01 am
lol, this should be in the game w/o DLC. But with being able to unlock the 91 GS and 02 SAC teams through Hex/REditor we'll prolly be able to do the same here.
Thu May 31, 2012 4:50 am
Or it could be like the Legends Showcase, which PC users have no access to at all.
Either way, I'm not buying this game at least until the patch is released.
Thu May 31, 2012 5:02 am
So... the big news is that something which should be one of the basic features in the game will only be available via pre-order and only for the console players? Very impressive stuff indeed, something I've hoped they would do for so long. Kudos, 2K!
P.S.

Would of rather heard the "fix online", and "update rosters" saying... at least then I know it would of included all platforms...

I've been craving an All-Star weekend from 2K for so many years!! I'm exceptionally excited. This is fantastic. I hope they don't have ass it though.
Thu May 31, 2012 7:30 am
Going to wait for a preview before I decide on preordering or not. I agree with those who say it should be in the game by default.
Thu May 31, 2012 7:57 am
wow! preorder bonus only?! sheeessh.. what about us PC gamers!
Thu May 31, 2012 8:46 am
That's the big news? Makes no sense whatsoever, that should be default
Thu May 31, 2012 9:42 am
I agree with ThaLiveKing
Thu May 31, 2012 10:26 am
should be in the game already, but i think it would be cool to pit legends vs current players in the dunk contest & 3 point shootout
Thu May 31, 2012 11:27 am
Let's see what NBA Live pulls out

That'd be great, however I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'll gladly be proven wrong though.
Thu May 31, 2012 12:58 pm
I bet no all star weekend for PC.
Thu May 31, 2012 2:09 pm
I'm guessing if it comes out the same time as the game like the hidden team did you'd probably be able to hex edit, since I'm guessing it would be within the install.
