I thought there were 38 good reasons to play the last game of the season for Kobe.

Not a fan of Kobe but would have been a nice treat to see him trying to win the scoring title.
Fri Apr 27, 2012 6:38 pm
I guess it shows where his priorities lie.

I dont think it will be a walk in the park, (with or without Metta World Peace) but I believe Lakers can win it in 6 games against Denver. Dallas would be much harder for the us, and that will make our way to the title the hardest. Id rather have Denver.
GO LAKERS!
Sat Apr 28, 2012 5:08 pm
Last year's Dallas? Of course, they swept us when we had a better roster. But that new Dallas? It will probably get swept by OKC itself, unless they find the new life. Denver, if not hit by injuries, could have actually contested OKC and Spurs for No. 1 seed. It lost momentum since then, but still...

I think Denver will give a great challenge to the Lakers and I think it will be Lakers in 6
Sat Apr 28, 2012 7:02 pm
The Lakers in 6 would be the best outcome anyways. They will have Ron Artest return fresh for the new series. I think it's better to have him eariy than coming back late and trying to gel back to the form where he was playing well while Kobe was gone.

Congrats Lakers!
Kobe scored 31 pts, Bynum got Triple Double, J. Hill has Double-double, Gasol just 2 assist shy of a Double-double, Ebanks replaced MWP and contributed 12 points, Sessions scored 14pts, and most importantly, Steve Blake started the lead dropping 3 clutch 3point shots. Matt Barnes scored just 2 points but made up for it with 6 rebounds and 4 steals!
Improvements: Lakers turned the ball over just 11 times, made 52 total rebounds and 15 block shots. They converted 11 free throws with 15 attempts. Moreover, they scored 23 points as their least scored points in a quarter. - Thats 2nd only to the Bull's 24 points in a Quarter-per-quarter performance rating.
Lopsided win. Continue this style of play and defense, and were looking for a sweep. "One game at a time"
Mon Apr 30, 2012 2:02 pm
lakers can sweep this one with this kind of D
Mon Apr 30, 2012 5:14 pm
Agreed Bynum was a defensive minded person today if he continues to do this definitely it will be a sweep

NovU wrote:Not to shit on the thread, but I find it funny that a Lakers fan wanted the Lakers to win because Russell Westbrook is arrogant. I see a double standard and good amount of stupidity there.
And honestly I feel annoyed by the Lakers fans celebrating and praising the win over Harden-less OKC, with pretty much no regards to what Peace did to him. I thought the win came cheap and unworthy, and definitely not something to be proud of.
I was reading through the last few pages here, this summed up my thoughts word for word. I literally lol'ed when I saw that Laker fan talking about
Westbrook being arrogant. I need to post some Bynum/Bryant/MWP videos here soon.
I got to hand it to them today though. From what I saw, they played a good game, particularly Bynum and his 10 blocks.

I don't know what you mean, 123rockstar seems to be a Bulls fan

He probably has Lakers as his 2nd team... Anyway, I don't even think Westbrook is arrogant. I just think he doesn't have the basketball IQ to go with his game, to be honest. It will come with experience, i hope.
About the game, what can you say? EVERYTHING, literally, EVERYTHING went well. I saw no weaknesses in that game, especially the usual ones, like Kobe being selfish or weak bench production. Defense was just off the charts and the lack of turnovers killed the Nuggets offense. And Jeff Van Gundy turned it into Gasol appreciation night

What a game! This IS a contender, ladies and gentlemen!

I just don't know if 123rockstar is a bulls fan or a lakers fan because of his analysis in the game it's very detailed like your doing a game recap
Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:43 pm
Bynum was more assertive in the defensive end .. at the same time .. maybe worn out his energy to work in the offensive end. But I think, Game plan was well executed.
Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:51 pm
If Bynum and the Lakers continue this Defensive style of Game Plan they have a shot for the NBA Finals
Tue May 01, 2012 12:03 am
Honestly, Gasol was their facilitator. They will throw him the ball in the block and the big guy will create the plays and make the right decisions.
But I know, every game would not be like this. Lawson was intimidated by Bynum.
Galo got going coz MWP is not there to guard him. In the last meetings, he was struggling coz of the tenacious defense.
Tue May 01, 2012 12:08 am
Actually I felt this series is quite interesting like do you think nuggets can steal 1 to 2 games at their home? Or the Lakers will sweep their dust and walk away to the 2nd floor
Tue May 01, 2012 9:16 am
WHAT THE HECK!? Choking a family MEMBER!? How the heck will he do that
Tue May 01, 2012 1:00 pm
You extend your fingers in both of your hands.
You place both hands on the neck of your family member with the four fingers and thumb extending in the opposite direction.
Wrap the fingers, thumb, and palm around the neck of your family member.
Squeeze. You can push or pull while choking the family member for added hurt.

Money Grabber.... Its always wrong to hurt a woman, but she should have file this lawsuit a year ago when Hill was a with the Rockets. And No, they were dating and she aint a part of the family [expletive]
The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the "family member" was someone the NBA player was dating.... a "dating relationship" can be defined in that way...under Texas laws
The former University of Arizona star was playing in the city as a member of the Rockets at the time the incident allegedly took place
This lady didnt make an action till Hill made it big in L.A. She took advantage of the Playoffs, prompting Hill pay her immediately, so as not to bother in between practices. Texas laws

How could she file charges against Hill
last year for an event that happened
this February 29th?
Except he was charged by the Houston DA back in March.
