yahoooo!!~

Great win by the Lakers! Again? Great win by the Lakers! haha :D

Theres always a reason to watch Laker games when they score more than 21 points in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters. If you aint a fan of the Lakers, youre just hating.

Re: Lakers Thread

Sat Apr 14, 2012 3:10 pm

The more Lakers win without Kobe, the more haters will say we don't need him XD I agree we won't need 3-18 selfish Kobe. We need "that 2009 Phoenix series" Kobe in the playoffs. Holy crap was he balling in that series, dominating over a good zone defense

Re: Lakers Thread

I agree. Kobe has to make plays more. The more he passes, the more Kobe is hard to guard. His great ability to shoot in awkward ways, earned him his pump-fakes to and 1's. His ability to pass more would make his teammates score that and 1's. :D

Awesome rebounding and paint battle today. LAL rebounded 45 times and scored 40 points in the paint alone. DEN responded with 40 rebounds and 68 points in the paint. That shows how important Big Men are in the league. :P

Lakers need to cut down their turnovers. Instead they made 22 turnovers that made the Nuggets get back into the game. DEN made a push as close as 90-91 late in the 4th, but the Lakers answered 90-97 to solidify the lead. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

With all the action in the paint I was glad no one was injured.

Re: Lakers Thread

68 points in the paint? Quickness killed the lakers in the paint. But still a great team effort. Barnes was CLUTCH. He scored in the crunch time a.k.a. "KOBE time."

Next match is against the Mavs. The Mavs have been playing well as of late, even Kidd did not play the last match against the Blazers. The reason was planned rest. He's resting.

I agree. Kobe needs to play more of the 2009 Kobe. Did you saw the match against the Clips when Pau had been posterized twice? That's what I'm talking about. Kobe needs to play that way.

Better play well cause the Clippers won today, which trimmed the differential to 1 game.

Overtime thriller! WOW! Great win Lakers!!~ :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Paint Action: Lakers made 37 defensive and 15 offensive rebounds, which translates into 50 points in the paint alone! Gasol, Bynum and Sessions scored 20+, while Barnes added 11 and World Peace 18 points.

Turning point: Lakers only made 7 turnovers, and they shut down Dirk's offense with 9 of 28 attempts.

Im so glad they play the 3rd quarter strong these days. That way no team can make a comeback. Bynum and Pau gets the rest early, but are also back in the 2nd and 4th quarters to play more defense rather than offense. Way to go Lakers! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

MiKe Brown wants some Sundae!

LMFAO, Sundae (Y)

I hope now that Kobe sees how successful Lakers are when he isn't stopping the ball in the offense, he will let the offense come to him and not force tough shots

All I see in that game is Kobe coaching even calling Brown to give some advice

Too bad. 2nd quarter with only 19 points says it all. :(

Fantastic premonition. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Now I know what you mean when you said it. Suns kicked Houston out of the their playoff spot.

Re: Lakers Thread

Lakers embarrassed themselves. The Spurs did the same the last time they met. But this time, hitting the open shots when they had it. And the 3rd quarter run by the Lakers on 11th of April, powered by their defense was countered by the Spurs defense-fueled 2nd quarter rally, 18 unanswered points and 5 turnovers in consecutive possessions. The Lakers were miserable all night.

The bright spot is that the Laker fans and haters realize that somewhere and sometime, they will really need Kobe in the long run.

Excited for the comeback in SA. Get well Kobe!

hahaha. I think they will miss the playoffs. But who knows, maybe Kevin McHale has a trick remaining off his sleeve.

Utah should go undefeated with their schedule, Phoenix will likely lose most of their's, likely setting up the Rox for their third straight 9th place finish.

Re: Lakers Thread

Damn man,i somehow always fancied the Rockets... but hey, there is something about Kobe vs Phoenix or Jazz, he is BALLING against them, and we always had one of them on our way to the Finals, they are great set-up teams, so to speak.

You know the Lakers are locked into the 3rd or 4th seed, right?

Now yeah XD And now we might even slide to 5th... I hope we stay at 3 and Dallas stay at 6. We can take revenge and we won 4-0 in regular season giving us confidence to dethrone the champs and go on a winning spree in playoffs ( wow, i sound confident). Losing to Spurs 2 times might prove costly for us, though...

Duncan went old school on Bynum.

Re: Lakers Thread

Sun Apr 22, 2012 12:51 am

Yah. But the Lakers need to play better if they face the Spurs in the Playoffs. I have to say that they have been the best offensive team I have seen for a long time. Just the ball movement is incredible, and they will make you pay if you leave them wide open. Mike Brown has to figure out his defensive switching and rotations or otherwise they will be blown in a sweep.
