That was a great escape. I am glad you proved me wrong again Lakers!
Kobe, this may be your worst game ever. You, however, again saved the Lakers at the Last minute! Awesomeness.
Huge credit goes to Pau and Bynum, as well as the others to make a huge comeback. Well done!

They proved you right for 47 minutes though. And we are talking about NOH here.

It's probably the best anyone's ever looked after going 0/15 through three quarters and 3/21 on the night. So close but yet so far, New Orleans.
Sun Apr 01, 2012 2:03 pm
It was Bynum, Barnes, and Sessions that got them a win though. Being down 10 points, they proved to be the difference makers. Of course the Lakers had little bit of help from the referees as well.

You're way too busy with how the Lakers are doing.

Hadn't he kept jacking up shots that wouldn't go in all night, the Lakers wouldn't have needed a game winner to beat a D-League team (the Hornets are weak as it is and that game they were also playing without Kaman, Landry, Okafor and Ariza). That's why headlines such as "clutch when it counts" just make me laugh. Mr 3/21 is the hero again, how cute.

Everybody loves a clutch player when it counts

Ugly win again over Golden States!

Lakers vs Hornets was indeed confirmed Kobe's worst scoring night, but he dropped the game winning shot and they won the game is all that matters. Determined to silence his critics, he again scored his 5th 40pt game this season. Lakers scored the best game of the season, and perhaps the only team this season to score 27 points as the least scored in the quarter.
TURNING POINT: The Warriors trailed by 13 points at the start of the fourth quarter and looked well on their way to their fifth straight defeat, but Klay Thompson, Richard Jefferson and Nate Robinson helped rally Golden State within a point on Thompson's fast-break layup with 7:02 left in the game. Even after Lakers point guard Ramon Sessions kick-started a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer, the Warriors wouldn't go away, pulling back within three on David Lee's 3-point play with 1:59 left. The Lakers finally got the separation they needed on a 3-point basket by Metta World Peace with 1:09 remaining, pushing the lead back to 118-112
GOOD MOVE: With Bynum sidelined, Troy Murphy and McRoberts took on an extra load. Murphy finished with eight points and matched his season-high with 11 rebounds. McRoberts had two points and eight rebounds, scoring his only basket on a two-handed dunk off a missed runner by Sessions. He swung on the rim for extra emphasis, much to the delight of the crowd.

Once again, blew the lead. Not winning games when doing this on a regular basis.

Of course, as a comment on YouTube points out:
brian scalabrine does this every practice

Oh yeah! Whos laughing now Clipper fans?
Blake really did 2 huge dunks over Gasol today. Daaayuummmm Man! NBA.com must make a new survey which tops the dunk of the year. Definitely that is really a great "Battle in LA" extravaganza baby!
Should we be still talkin about Kobe being clutch again? Great win lakers
Thu Apr 05, 2012 4:09 pm
They let down a huge lead again. Brown should really think about his rotations.
Thu Apr 05, 2012 7:47 pm
I agree. His rotation sucks. Player rotation and defensive rotations. Luckily, he found out that World Peace can do a better job with CP3 than Andrew or Pau. But still great win for the Lakers. Kobe was more than efficient tonight. 31 pts., 6 assists ... 13-19 from the field ... and don't forget the clutch fade away ... hahaha .. great win... hope they can extend this streak to more than 5 ... (5 is their season high)

HOT: Bryant let everyone know it was his night from the start, scoring 16 points in the opening quarter before finishing with 31 on 13-for-19 shooting. Bynum, who missed Tuesday's game against Golden State with a sprained left ankle, also established himself early, scoring 11 of his team-high 36 points in the first quarter and finishing 13-for-20 from the field with four blocked shots. For the Clippers, small forward Caron Butler carried the team for the first three quarters before finishing with a season-high 28 points on 9-for-18 from the floor. He had a costly turnover with 59 seconds left in the game, however.
Up next Houston.

lol Andrew Bynum's reaction after Blake Griffin dunked on Pau.

I dont know what happened in this day. The OKC, MIA and LAL didnt win. The supposedly huge games where they are expected to win. It may be a consolation knowing that these teams lose as well, but the Lakers lost to a nobody. And thats 2 times already this season. (and my sudden dislike for Dragic even grew even more - good thing D. Rose abused and dunked on his face as long as I remembered)
M. World Peace had a great game, but M. Barnes was shooting 1 0f 9 in the field. He however made up for it with his 13 rebounds and a timely 3 pointer to tie the game with 2:31 remaining in the 4th.
Again, this is the 2nd time the Lakers lost despite scoring 22 points!

I want to believe that Mike Brown is a defensive coach, and all they have to worry is scoring. 22 points is enough to win but to let the opposing team score more than that, Id think again why he was called a defensive coach in the first place.
Rotation problem? I believe its more of an Andrew Bynum problem. Catch is, the more you hate him or fine him...the more he wont play well. Support his childish problem and probably he will give you his best.

I love how Dragic is playing these days. He's taking all the advantage of Lowry's absence.
Playing alongside Nash definitely helped his game. He makes crazy passes time to time.

So many great point guards these days, it's just, WOW. "Small" people are taking over the game

Embarrassed. The Lakers will lose to New Orleans, the 3 games against San Antonio, and most especially the Thunder. Eventually, the Lakers will give up the 3rd seed and come playoffs time, they will be eliminated by the Memphis Grizzlies. This time in the 1st round. I just hope I am wrong.

As you see as the season progresses, it's different in playoff times. Teams have a lot of time to rest and practice. This would be an advantage to banged-up and old teams like the Lakers. The Lakers have all of their starters injured yet they still play. But, if they don't change their defensive rotations, they don't even stand a chance. But offensively, they are cool, just like any NBA team except Washington and Charlotte.
No team in the west wants to face the Lakers in the first round. Just the thought of playing against Kobe makes them shiver a little bit. But I think they will be fine. I know that if Kobe plays against the Spurs, they will bust that long winning streak of the Texans. I'm a Laker fan and a Clipper hater. Mike Brown is not the best coach obviously, because he can't convince guys to play for him. But I think they will be fine. Defense is a Laker pride. But theyr're just like the mediocre teams in the league defensively these days.
