CPU Alley-oops

Postby carmelo on Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:49 am

Why cpu doesn't throw alley-oops in transition. I played so many games but I have never seen a cpu alley-oop in transition. Only sometimes in the cpu offense but never in transition. Has anyone see a cpu alley-oop in transition?

Go to cpu tendency's in the sliders and increase alley-oops. They should throw more alley-oops but I can't guarantee they'll always throw them on fast breaks. They don't always throw them in real life anyways.

Yes, but in the game have you ever seen a fast break alley-oop from cpu?(increasing the slider or not)

I rarely mess with the sliders so I don't know for sure. Really, if it matters that much to you your just going to have to try it yourself... but like I said it's not like they always throw alley-oops on fast breaks in real life anyways.

Because I see nba's top 10, I am sure that every two days or even a week there is a fast break alley-oop. It is not so rare as you said. I think cpu fast break alley-oops is a bug or something of the game (and it was not fixed with the patch). In nba2k12 Cpu never throws alley-oops in fast break.

I'm not saying they don't happen. Obviously teams like the clippers throw plenty of alley-oops. I don't think this would be a bug though it's probably just 2k's AI not being smart enough to know when a good time is to throw an alley-opp.

FOUR (4) fast break alley-oops only in one day in nba's top-10 yesterday. So in real life it's not like they always throw alley-oops but it's often and in NBA2k12 cpu never throws......It is a cpu bug or not?

its not a bug, cpu is not good enough to make an alley-oops on a fastbreak

I'm guessing it's one of those things in the AI programming that has a lower probability than regular passes because I have seen a couple(and I mean 2), just not enough compared to the user who probably recognizes their high-flying teammate a lot better.
