Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

there were a lot of calls missed both ways. both coaches were pretty damn pissed. 1st time seeing Rose complaining to the officials like that. i've watched the replays. i'm biased so no comment other then if he was wearing #6, 3, or 24 he would have gotten those calls

thought the Knicks played well enough to win. i don't know how they were still in the game though. they gave up what seems 100 offensive rebounds. Carmelo Anthony looked like he was phased out of the offense for most of the 4th quarter.

Deng and Watson are game time decisions

The Heat lost a 15pt lead to the Magic, and ended up losing the game. With that on the Heat and the Bulls wanting to get some revenge, I think the Bulls will answer with a good performance tomorrow.

I'd say they've got a shot. I'll be watching. (Y)

It's good that I have access to CSN, because Stacey King and Neil Funk are like the best commentating duo ever.

I'll have the ESPN broadcast so I guess it'll probably be Breen and JVG, unless one or both are calling the Sixers/Pacers game.

Deng is playing but apparently Rose is out, well that ruined the hype of Rose getting revenge for his failed clutch in the last meeting...

For sure. This could turn out to be a tough one to watch.

Never underestimate the heroics of John Lucas :)

My biased post game,overjoyed comment:

BULLS DID IT AGAIN!!!!
No Rose,No Rip,Deng and Watson just returned from injuries, but no problem!! Great passion,AMAZING rebounding, huge defense and a really, really mature play, from a team that shows that championship metal!!Great Job!!

John Lucas III for MVP, he showed no fear even when LeBron was on him. That was a big statement game for the Bulls, great game with players stepping up and showing the Heat what a team really is.

Fantastic win without Rose. Boozer didn't give them much at all, Deng wasn't at his best but apart from that a pretty good game all around. Lucas obviously stands out as the hero with those big shots, though his reluctance to pass and overdribbling came close to costing them the game when Miami were throwing those very effective traps his way late in the fourth. That's where you need a better floor general out there but still, kudos to him for that performance. He made some great shots.

Speaking of great plays:

WOHOOO!!~ LETS GO BULLS!

I always ask myself why the Heat are always called to have the best defense in the league. I love you coach Spo but I love the BULLS too. Can we go for 50 win games this season? Oh yeah!!~

Oh. I see. But that defense only work against the Bulls. I dont see anything against the Dallas. Maybe Dallas was just a better offensive and defensive team as a whole. Still, that label on being the "best defensive team" doesnt suit with me. I did root for the HEAT in the finals though.

I believe the Bulls have a better defense this season. Best Chemistry Offensively that I've seen in a long while.

For me, the Heat lost the Finals in game 2 (that "King mode" in the last quater was their tumb for the rest of the series).

And yes Bulls has better chemestry but lets see if their are healthy in the Playoffs, and lets see if Rose learn the leasson (not be the score always, be also a facilitator in clutch), if they had those two things they're in The Finals against the Thunder

The Bulls defense gets plenty of praise too. I'd say both teams receive credit where its due.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Just an immensely satisfying experience watching this game from start to finish. The Bulls basically won the game the way that they're supposed to: dominating the glass, dead-eye three-point shooting, a balanced offense and terrific bench play.

Everything's been said about Lucas, nothing to really add to it, but he was terrific. You have to think he's probably done enough to earn a NBA contract next year, if not with the Bulls, then he can certainly fill a role at most NBA teams.

Noah's play on Bosh was amazingly good. His 14 and 6 statline actually took me by surprise a bit. I thought he'd pulled far more rebounds than that. He definitely had a part in a fair few even if he didnt come down with the ball. I think Bosh is much more key to the Heat than people give him credit for. When the Bulls keep him down, they do much, much better.

This was the first time i'd seen Jimmy Butler in extended minutes, and I was very impressed. Not much to speak of, box score-wise, but he had some good defensive stops against James and Wade. I think he can definitely be of use in short bursts in the conference finals, should both teams make it that far.

Yeh limiting Bosh was huge. and Boozer actually played some good defense as well

if Butler continues to play like this he' going to make Brewer expendable. My heart goes out to Brewer but Butler has the makings of a good defensive player and has a better perimeter shot then Brewer.

I liked what I saw from Butler too. I'd want to see him come through like that in more consistent minutes before I'd deem Brewer expendable but I definitely hear you on that one. Hopefully he lives up to his potential and if that frees up Brewer for a possible trade, great. In the meantime though, perhaps they'll form a solid rotation at shooting guard; it just doesn't seem like Hamilton's going to have much luck staying healthy this year.

Pretty bad loss to the Blazers at home after the impressive showing against the Heat, but they get the win over the Sixers despite an unimpressive first quarter. Still yet to lose back to back this season.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Mar 18, 2012 12:42 pm

That was a good win against the 76ers knowing they have been giving the Bulls trouble... the Bulls can't do what they did to the Blazers on Monday. You can't expect to have a 3pt shoot out with teams when you know your not an outside team.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Mar 18, 2012 9:02 pm

Ugly loss to the Blazers and a nice win against the Sixers, though the first half was pretty bad. Luck hasn't been that kind to the team it seems with those injuries, and though they manage to win most of the games without Rose and Rip,it would be better to have them as soon as possible back in action. Now that they are shorthanded in the perimeter,Bulls need to play more and more with Boozer,Taj,Jo and Asik. All four of them are playing some quality basket as of late and they are an obvious offensive choice in my opinion...

Also,I think that the Bulls could search a little in the Free Agents for a good role player. I mean there are veteran who are bought out as of late, and Bulls could take advantage of it to fill the needs in the perimeter. Derek Fisher is going to be bought out from the Rockets and could be a nice option as a PG when Rose is out, while Watson could play a little more at the 2 spot when Bulls return to their full rotation. Though it seems that Lucas is going to get less minutes. Or maybe the return of Andres Nocioni? He is on a decline, but still remains a solid defender and can be utilized.
I have no problem at all if the Bulls stay that way though,as the team healthy has all the elements to win it all, though another reliable option won't be a bad thing..

Why?
Lucas and Watson can contribute offensively better than Fisher.
Fisher, defensively...

Coming from a Sixers fan. No. If Bulls want only defense but no offense Bulls are better off getting back Bogans and not Nocioni.

I will play Fisher during 4th Quarters .... this guy is clutch.
