Why do I have to sign in to account before I can play?

Since the patch was installed, I have to sign in or verify my account before the game starts. It didn't do this before the patch, what can I do to correct this?

I'd contact 2K Support about any issues like that.

i get it aswell everytime i run the game, no idea whats causing it.

I had the same problem then it stopped on its own.
