No Jao, I made the argument and it's a good one. It bears repeating because the same situation has repeated. Someone mentioned that the DDs don't delay patches for other games. If that's the case then the point that DDs fail to deliver games more quickly is invalid.

DDs still fail because a gamer can't sell the game used after playing it, and the prices are not sufficiently discounted when compared to boxed versions. In fact, in some cases the digital version of a game is more expensive than the box version.

"So I can follow the appropriate, lone, community manager for the company. "

You did the right thing, and the only thing you can do. My point was that the info Ronnie provides is often not accurate.

Leftos wrote:We're not talking just about gameplay issues that can be fixed with sliders. We're talking about things that can't be fixed with sliders.

Freezes & Crashes (1st & 3rd quarter, win the finals, etc.)
Team Stats bug (incorrect Team Stats in any career mode, incorrect records in years 2 and later)
Trade Logic
"Speed Doesn't Matter" Issue
and many others.

I mean sure, the game has nice gameplay. But what good is that to me if I can't enjoy it over time? I'm an Association guy, I had reached Year 3 with 2K11, and now in 2K12, even if I do get past the 1st year, I have to endure stats like 90APG, 85RPG etc. showing up, and also teams with 120-75 records which ruin the standings and playoff and draft seeds. What good is that? Why should I put my money again on a game like that? I don't buy games that last me 10 hours, I buy games like 2K12 in which I put over 200 hours of gameplay. But if I have no incentive to keep playing, for example bringing my team back from the gutter and excelling in the Association, why put my money into that?

This make me want to get NBA 2K10 again just for the association.

No, not really. Not searching very far, 2K11 is much better. Simply because it has significantly less bugs and flaws. The number of those in 2K12 is unacceptable (and we're probably not getting many of them fixed, even in a matter of days). Apart from all the things mentioned by Leftos, there's the teammates' defense (actually, lack of it) problem, horrible fast breaks and many more I can't remember off the top of my head because I haven't touched this glitchfest in a while.

And now their "update" for the PC... this is just speechless right now. Every day I get more and more convinced not to get 2K13 and hope more and more for Live PC comeback.

I've just read Ronnie's March 9, 2012 tweet with Google's experimental temporal browser.

"Devs are looking into why the patch caused PCs to explode."

Later

"Workaround - sit far back from PC with a wireless keyboard and mouse."

I hope that DD wasn't Steam...

But can't we just update the game ourselves anyway?

Hi.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, I tried searching/reading the FAQs but didn't find an answer. I saw there was a short write-up of what is to be expected in this new patch earlier on in the thread. Unfortunately, it did not seem to include an online quick match option with a friend (ie. the locker room situation on PC). Was just wondering, is this ever going to be implemented? One of the big reasons why I bought this game was so that I could play some casual games with my buddies online. And if it isn't going to be implemented, has 2k said anything about why they haven't/won't permit it?

Again, sorry if this is me beating a dead horse, but just kind of irked at not being able to play with friends and not being able to find out why it isn't possible in the first place. Thanks.

all we can assume is that the change log for the PC will be the same as the console versions since there was no announcement on PC specific fixes
Opinions are my own.

Im pretty confident it will be out THIS WEEK
just heard back from 2k support about my problems getting online.

In reply they mentioned there is a patch coming in the next few days which should fix all other problems.
It may take longer than a few days if i got game through gamefly or gamestop though as they havent approved the patch yet.

So i would say there the ones who didnt approve it last time.
Why would they not approve it i wonder??
Did they actually do some testing with it an find it doesnt fix some problems?
Does it cause more problems or doesnt work with some computers????

Never heard of digital distributors not approving patches before, i just thought they recieved patch then added something to make it work with games released through them.
