UPDATING (easily) YOUR DYNASTY

scenario: you have started playing dynasty, and new players have been acquired by certain teams (btw im talking about real nba) or even trades or any transactions, and you still want to continue this dynasty.. well this could be done by using dbcommander and following the steps in the tutorial (which is btw i think safer yet a bit complicated).. or you could just simply do this..

after opening the game
first: load the ROSTERS you used on your dynasty.. meaning, for example,if you used King Dee's rosters, load King Dee's..
second: update the ROSTERS by either signing or trading players on whichever team you would like them to be.. you should also start editing the player's shoes and accessories at this part.. and after that save the rosters and load it again..
third: now you should start a new dynasty using the same team you've been using.. its up to you whether you still want to hire team staffs for this new dynasty or not, but during the training camp, it will simulate using the new staffs. anyway then after that, just save the dynasty..
fourth: now close the game. Go to my documents, NBA LIVE 08, saves or wherever path you have your game saves.. make a NEW FOLDER on the 'saves' folder and name it with whatever you like..
fifth: now open your OLD DYNASTY save folder and copy its contents and paste it inside the new folder on step 4..
sixth: now open the NEW DYNASTY save folder and copy the files APPEARANCE.dbf & PLAYERS.dbf and paste em on the new folder on step 4.. you'd be asked to replace files, just replace them.. and that's it..
Lastly: now open your game, and load the NEW FOLDER named with whatever you have named it..

you now have your dynasty rosters updated.. you can now play against NYK's Jeremy Lin as the starting point guard and with J.R. Smith on the bench.. beat the CLIPPERS with Kenyon Martin.. and more..

NOTE!!!! if trades have been made by certain teams during your dynasty game, doing this steps could bring back players in their original teams. so if you would like those trade to remain, you'll gonna have to update your rosters on step 2, so its your choice.. in case you brought them back to their original teams, please note that stuffs written in the NEWS option in dynasty would not be deleted..

NOTE!!!! SO FAR....i have not encountered any issues regarding this.. but i strongly recommend that you always BACKUP and uh one more thing, i will not be liable for any untoward incident, so TRY this at your own risk.. tho i dont think it would cause much serious problems.. nevertheless, TRY IT AT YOU OWN RISK AND BACKUP!! ill be updating if ever i encounter some issues and kindly update us too.. there you go, i have been specific enough i guess.. thanks and goodluck! Allow me to double post.

1st issue: players STATS, MVP candidates, League Leaders and team chemistry are RESET
2nd issue: League Leaders seemed not to update anymore the entire season, but then, would be ok the next season.

when i play dynasty in live game, i do the same process just like yours but the only difference is i simulate my dynasty to current year ex: 2012 then i paste appearance and players dbf to my dynasty save folder because just like what you notice all stats will be reset so why not play the current year instead. And yes Go Lakers!
