Finally finished and won 2013 Finals in my NBA 2K11 T-wolves Association, so I can now shelve the game & move onto NBA 2k12. Just in time for roster updates with rookies

Having played nothing but 2K12, and BF3 for the past 3 months., I felt like changing it up. Got Deus Ex HR after hearing good things, but really having no idea what to actually expect.
After the first mission and getting the fucking hostages killed, gotta say, Great Game. Very pleasantly surprised, usually when I fuck up in a video game I re-load, but this game dealt with it in a way that I didn't feel like a loser so I continued playing.

In addition to the usual suspects, The Simpsons Arcade Game on XBL. Thanks to free play, I'm seeing parts of the game I never did as a kid.

I'm re-installing Mass Effect 1, hoping this will be my definitive save to import to ME2 and ME3.

been playing some Live 10 on the PS3, I'm kinda sad I didn't give that game more of a change two years ago, but they shouldn't have fucked with my shooting button....
Trials HD again, after seeing the Evolution trailer,
Rock Band, Minecraft, 2K12, blah blah blah, SOS.

yeah when i play it, it's the little things that make me really like it, but there were some gameplay flaws. overall a solid basketball game.

Even though i suck at it, Team Fortress 2. Some 2k12 here and some Portal 2 there. Trying to get all the achievements in Portal 2 because I really like the game.

Started a second playthrough in Skyrim, as a chick who's gonna backstab and steal from everyone, but I'm also in the middle of LA Noire and Batman Arkham City, which is way too much time to spend that what I have available... Just realized I still haven't played a full 2K12 game at this point, I'm probably missing on some good stuff but Skyrim has completely absorbed all of my free time in the last couple of months...

I finished Assassin's Creed: Revelations and the only thing I'll say is that Ubisoft, what the fuck? Not much development on Desmond's side of the story. While I feel that Altair's side was a bit rushed with all those small chunks of levels that you play as him. Also, the time between Altair's story just skipped a lot about Abbas -- not much development around him. But the closing moments of the main story mode gives a vibe of epicness in it, when Ezio 'meets' Altair in person. Some epic conclusion that is.
Also, Lucy's death having real no closure sucks. Shaun still sucks. And I hope for a full Desmond game in Assassin's Creed III and no more need to get into the Animus because I think it is pointless.
Currently doing a re-run of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood while Skyrim is shelved.

Ubisoft should rest the AC series first before releasing a third one.
Sun Feb 12, 2012 5:51 pm

I kinda hate the fact that they're doing this on a yearly basis. It's been announced that AC3 will be released this year.

“Assassin’s Creed is all about cycles – we have the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and both of those are set to conclude in Revelations and we have the Desmond cycle, which is set to end on December 2012.”
I better hurry up and play brotherhood and revelations.

They're rushing it so it coincides with that 2012 prediction thing. The world ending/major catastrophe in 2012 apparently plays a part in the background story of AC and why the future ended up that way.

Yeah, it's just me who thinks that the series had become more like Ezio's than that of Desmond's. Altair just placed there in the mix to put some "closure." They could have just got on through Brotherhood and have AC3 follow afterwards with
Desmond journeying out of coma. Revelations is a good game, but not as fun as Brotherhood. The story do feels short and hurried, too. Not much development on the 2012 side of things in Revelations.

So I'm re-playing Brotherhood today (and Skyrim is still shelved), aiming to go 100% on all main memory sequences. The mission where you
tail Michelleto and acquire costumes to get to Pietro has the secondary objective of using the Assassin Recruits to kill the targets. I did so, but one of the last targets were killed when they fell off the ledge as they were attacked by the recruits -- failing the secondary objective as I complete the memory.
And only now I realize that you can't re-do the mission on the DNA menu to get 100% sync, or am I missing something?

FIFA 12 ultimate team is getting addicting
Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:23 am
^ I don't know enough players to make it fun for me. i like playing with players i'm familiar with, and i don't have the patience to play with sucky players until i can get guys like malouda, ronaldo, etc. i have been hooked on MAdden 12 ultimate team, though. my team is pretty good now

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is 50% off on Steam right now, just bought it. I won't have time to play it for a while with Skyrim, Batman, LA Noire, and of course Mass Effect 3 coming up, but at least it was pretty cheap.
Wed Feb 29, 2012 3:02 pm
I'm going to wait on Revelations. I haven't even got to Brotherhood which I got during the summer sale last year. I did pick up Saints Row the Third from Amazon for $25.
Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:47 pm
isn't the assassin's creed game essentially the same as #1?
Wed Feb 29, 2012 5:53 pm
I guess assassins creed would be the first one, yes. I don't understand why you are asking that, though.

Got SSX from Gamefly yesterday and put a couple hours into it. Not sure how I feel about the game yet. I'm not very far in the campaign and am excited to check all the mountains out, but I can't really get the hang of either control scheme. I'm terrible with the new controls, and the classic control scheme is poorly done. Beat SSX 3 numerous times, but now I'm struggling to get silvers and bronzes here. The first few mountains have been cool, but I miss how alive and zany stages from past games were.
Best part if the game so far is the soundtrack, which is a mixed bag, but is really cool because your play remixes the song. Glad I rented it because the online play seems pretty inconsequential.
Worst part of the game is a Rewind feature, which has taken the place of being restarted on the track like any arcade game. Now if you fall into one of the many pits, you have to rewind, which costs a ton of points and is mapped to circle on the Classic controls. Accidentally rewinding in mid-air has definitely cost me medals, and it makes the trick events more about staying alive than tricking.

glad I decided to wait until a big price drop
