The true test comes Friday against the Lakers and Saturday in Minnesota.

IMO, the results vs the Lakers will be moot in evaluating Lin. Lin might have a great game, especially vs D-Fish. Lin needs to be challenged by facing teams such as the Bulls, Clippers, Nuggets or Thunder who are teams that have great groups of back-court players.

23 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, a steal, block, and only two turnovers. :applaud: Really wish the Rockets kept him.

the Knicks should trade Amare and Melo for role players that can help Lin.

He reminds me a lot of Brandon Roy without a jumper, the way he slithers around the defense without giving up his dribble. He has a quick step, is very crafty, sees the floor well, and can finish with both hands just like Roy.

Basketball-reference.com Stats for Lin as of now.

WS/48: .227
PER: 25.0

LOLolOool
It's evident, the NYK has big two not three in Lin and Chandler.

a few years ago, i would've told you that his skill set is of a pass first SG like a Wade or Roy, but the last 3 games have shown that his ability to keep his dribble makes him more like a Nash or Paul

Well, I agree he would be a lot like Nash, but I can't say he's like Paul. Paul had a more deceptive way of controlling the ball, Nash was something like 4 gears, and he always keep moving a gear up. Lin is the same, although he kinda starts slower than Steve Nash..

Must be why D'Antoni liked him now.

He's Chinese descent. =.= To be precise, Taiwanese descent. There is no such thing as Chinese/Taiwanese ninjas. What they have are Assassin guilds like the Handicapped Warriors.

Amar'e will flourish with Lin. I just hope Carmelo buys into the program. That's where Pringles has to step in.

Lin's looking pretty good in the first half against the Lakers, doing a fine job answering Kobe's question of "Who is this kid?"

Jeremy can't get into the Rising Stars Challenge -- it's a shame. 34 points, six dimes and almost half of the last quarter remaining.

Great tidbit from ESPN: his points in the last three games (28, 23, career-high 38 today) are the highest for a player's first three career starts since the NBA-ABA merger in '76. :applaud:

Jeremy Lin is the first knick ive been a fan of since the greal latrell sprewell was traded to minnesota. I'm coming out of the perverbial knickfan closet Ive been hiding in cause this guy is a hollywood movie in real life. :bowdown2: I'll go so far as to say that along with wade and lebron he's my third favorite player now. Ive been watching him since he outplayed john wall in the nba combine and got his golden state contract., This guy has been surprising people for a while now but the secret is out. He out played the black mamba

Tremendous game for Lin, just as solid down the stretch as he was in the first half though the Knicks came close to letting it slip away with three careless turnovers in a row. Still, a very impressive win without their two big name players and the feel good story continues with Lin, who appears to be very much for real.

Might have to watch Lin play tomorrow as I haven't got a chance to see him play yet. His first step & finishing reminds me a bit of the great Brandon Roy (pre-injury). Seems like his deceptively quick first step is his big weapon. It can't be understated what a decent point guard (not shoot first guards like the other guys) who understands pick and roll basketball can do in Coach D'Antoni's offence.

I agree with others that Amar'e will once again thrive at MSG now that he's got somebody who understands how to run the pick and roll.

You couldn't seriously have expected Stern or whoever picked the teams to pick Lin. At the time he only had one good game. If he continues to play well & there is an injury then he will be picked.
