Hi guys, thanks for releasing the D-Rose techfit knee pads. I have a hard time getting this knee pads into the game.. can Anyone help me plz?! ( Im a newbie using mod tool)

I downloaded mod tool, but which iff file do I have to import? I know DRose is 1507.iff but Im not sure if I have to use this file.. I have no idea where i have to enter the texture nr ( both dds files..) It would be great if someone could help me out here

You need to import into global.iff, than the knee pads will appear as you choose long socks.

CB-94 done, after the next 2 retros, I'll probably do a more current shoe. Still want to make a shoe for Shaq and Grant Hill. Sadly takes me to many hours to make a shoe, not very efficient.

This will give you a idea how to make a shoe, maybe we can get more shoe patchers around. I'm using my shoe from last year as a base, and resized it to 1024x1024. Please know how to use modtool and photoshop with dds plugins. Download the 1024x1024 shoe template.

Keep in mind I'm no photoshop pro, still learning myself, but this doesn't show much, still a lot of work needs to be done to finish this shoe.

All you have to do is find good images of the shoe open them in photoshop then copy/paste/erase what you don't need(ctrl+t and rightclick)/scale/warp each layer into place.

Line everything up, blend the layers together, then recolor to red/green/blue you can also use 255 white and black in some cases. Use mixer brush to blend some areas. Keep in mind you may have to replace some textures because warping will cause some blurring.

Good luck with blending everything together. You can do it.

To recolor use paintbucket color green with color burn on the white part of the shoe and use blue red for secondary colors.

You can change colors by going to image/adjustments/hue-saturation and or color balance and select the color and move the sliders.

If you get this far pm me I'll show my way of doing alpha and green texture.

Just leave your game running while making changes to shoe, just tab back in and change shoes so it refreshes your changes. Have fun.

The back of the shoe can be a pain, start with that first the shoe will come together. Just make small changes tab back in and check, keep scale/warping till it matches.

The way I do green texture is go to filter/nvidia/normalmapfilter, hit ok, click on channels copy the red channel and place it on the alpha, then color red and blue channel 0 black, and it will turn green. There is probably a different way but that's how I do it.
