Parks and Recreation

Postby benji on Wed Jul 06, 2011 12:52 am

So you were sitting there in your precious little safe life until you logged onto the NLSC one day and saw "Cougar Town" and you said to yourself, "yes, I do in fact love the pre-menopausal women." But then you were shocked to find out that instead it was a comedy program of some sort displayed through images and sound through a box of tubes. And you were unsure, and yet curious for a prophet of the Cat Lords had endorsed it.

And then you laughed. And laughed more. And cried because it had ended. But then it was back and you laughed and cried because it was triumphant over all of society that fails to live up to it.

So here we are again.

I said it similarly then. Remember when The Office was good? Hey, wait, did you like "22 Short Films About Springfield"?

Good news.

Parks and Recreation is birthed from both of those.

The first season, yeah it was weak. But remember The Office's first season? Yep, same thing.

Then the second season came and we were happy.

Then the third season came and...

Ron Swanson ftw. His pyramid is a model to live by.

The show was indeed pretty average during the first season, but it got really good after that. I must say Rob Lowe is funny as hell in this show.

Easily my equal favourite show on TV. Can't wait to find out who Tammy 1 will be next season.

That premiere was certainly rad, this is just a cool ass show that's sort of flying under the radar imo, at least compared to Modern Family, The Office, etc.

First episode of the season was alright, but that second one, with Tammy and Entertainment 720, was just flat out amazing.

I'm not reading anything in this thread but I think I'm addicted to this show. I downloaded the first 3 seasons and watched maybe 5-6 episodes of season one, then blew through the next 2.5 seasons in around 2 days. It wasn't laugh-out-loud stuff until season 3 but now I love it.
