Wow these cyber faces are pretty damn good. Would you mind to tell us how you do this? I really want to start doing cyber faces like this but I cant find any tutorials on how to do it at all. It would be very appreciated if you could tell us how you do it and what tools/programs you use. Thanks! And keep up the great work.

Well i'm still learning my self, but i could tell you what you need to get started.

1. Some Photoshop experience would help out greatly.
2. Watch these videos on youtube. http://youtu.be/0pvujv0Uxs0 http://youtu.be/t3muMJlCoOA http://youtu.be/UM90f2T-cF8 http://youtu.be/nxrmrza34pg http://youtu.be/jS6LaCXExHM. I also watched ones for PES and FIFA, search PES facemaking.

2.1 This tut is teaches you how to use the first two tools below http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=144&t=83028

3. You need these tools that can be found here.
3.1 NBA 2K12 Decompresser (decompresses the .iff files)
3.2 NBA 2K12 Cyber Face textures (exports and imports the decompressed .iff and .dds files)
3.3 Photoshop DDS plugin (You can't edit the .dds files with out it) find this plugin on the Nvida website or google it.
3.4 For 3d editing you would need Python and Blender
3.5 NBA 2KX Mod Tool

Tools in 3.3 amd 3.4 can be found here http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=144&t=83317 , but i would not worry about those until you have learned the basics of cyberface editing and using the tools (3.1 and 3.2).

4. Key photoshop tools you will need to know already or learn to use them.
4.0 Opactity
4.1 Pen tool
4.2 Eraser tool and Opacity settings
4.3 Color Balance
4.4 Hue/Saturation
4.5 Brightness/Contrast
4.6 Levels
4.7 Curves
4.8 Exposure
4.9 Vibrance
4.10 Free Transform, Warp and Perspective
Also Color Match, Blur tool, Sharpen tool, Dodge tool, Burn tool, lasso tool and the Clone stamp tool.

5. Sources of high quality photos
5.1 ESPN - you will need to use some sort of program or web tool to rip the pictures, as you can't right click and save picture on espn.
5.2 Google
5.3 Yahoo
5.4 zimbio.com also has good photos for lots of players.

The rest you have to just watch videos and ask questions around the forums in the patching help section, the tutorials section has lots of useful info also.

Wow, thank you so much. I have experience with photoshop so I should be alright on that. However, I see people making cyber faces on blender and that is what I have no experience on at all lol. Did you make these cyber faces on photoshop? BTW thank you so much for the info :D

Blender is for editing in 3D for things like hair, head shape and whatever you can't physically change in photoshop.

You say it needs work, but offered no ways to improve it. Now if you had said " T-Mac needs work bro. if you fix this or that, it would look better" that's constructive criticism.

The_Blueprint83, noooooo man bring your work back you haven't even experience the wrath of criticism to give up more than i have done....its don't mind them some are right, some just don't want you to improve....its like being at a freethrow line away from home....a pro NBA player just block all the yelling screaming & just take the shot!

if we lose patchers it will be left to very few great patchers to do all this hard work cause of patchers leaving.....they will get it 1 day! being a patcher is a state of art! every patchers has something about them that makes them different than others
NLSC members you are entitled to create any and what ever no matter what criticism you come across......do it hurts when people say your work is terrible, needs improvement etc. yes it does!!! but its ok...hope this help man (Y)

NLSC is like a new born baby if you don't feed the baby.... the baby gets angry & crys :(

I seriously doubt that. The face didn't look good at all this is much better to me and that's all that matters. This is not finished in case you didn't know. Thanks for your opinion.
