Looks like an awesome game to have played. Shame you couldn't have had the W at the end but still, what a game!
Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:54 pm
I went into the game thinking it would be an easy win because they were the worst team last year. Ooops..

Bit of a rough patch but I guess the CPU owed you a couple.

I reckon you'll be back in sync sooner rather than later.

Definitely an out of character streak for the team. Looks like rebounding has been a problem in a couple of those losses and the Sixers had a pretty big free throw advantage in their win over you.
Thu Jan 05, 2012 2:52 pm
Lopez is actually rebounding really well this season. Griffin could maybe do with some more work in training though.

Hopefully I'll get back on track against Charlotte next up.

Bucks make a deal with Nets to try and save their season

Just two months after trading Derrick Rose to Oklahoma City, Milwaukee have today traded away another of their star players.
This time they have sent Andre Iguodala to New Jersey in exchange for Anthony Morrow and Jeff Green. Ryan Gomes will also join the Nets.
The Bucks are currently sitting in 14th place in the eastern conference with a disappointing 7-12 record. They hope this deal helps them improve.
Iguodala joined the Bucks as part of a five-team deal last December. He is in the last year of his contract and Milwaukee decided to cash-in on him.
They hope by adding two solid players in place of Iguodala, they can push for a playoff spot and convince star center Andrew Bogut to re-sign next year.
Green is reunited with former Thunder team mate Russell Westbrook in Milwaukee. They were part of the Thunder's first championship side in 2010.
Milwaukee certainly have the talent to make a run at a top 8 spot, but they will have to turn things around quickly if they want to get there.
New Jersey are in 4th place in the east at the moment and are benefiting from the blossoming partnership between Deron Williams and Dwight Howard.
Owner Mikhail Prokhorov allegedly wanted a third big name player to play alongside Howard and Williams and create a 'big 3' to rival Miami and New York.
The Nets had been looking to trade Morrow since the off-season, apparently offering him to the Thunder as part of a proposal for Kevin Durant.
Iguodala's arrival also means sharp shooter Kyle Korver will be given a starting role. With Dwight anchoring the offense it's important to have good shooters.
The eastern conference now has a few so called 'super teams'. Several teams have followed the Heat's model of basing their team around 3 stars.
Miami (James, Wade, Bosh), New York (Stoudemire, Anthony, Conley), New Jersey (Williams, Howard, Iguodala), Cleveland (Paul, Martin, Carlos).
It should be a fascinatingly competitive race for playoff places this year. We may well see many teams fighting right to the last day of the season.

That's overpaying a little for Iggy given the production of Green and Morrow, but a pretty good deal for Milwaukee.

Prokhorov can afford to overpay [/bad joke]

Seriously though, given Milwaukee's recent seasons I think they were due some good fortune. They haven't made the playoffs so far in this game.
If both teams improve after this it will give Miami a harder time, which is never a bad thing.

Just as in real life, Rose gets the victory over a team led by Dwight Howard.

It's nice having two players that can score 30 in a game if needed. As much as I loved Westbrook, Rose just has so much more in his locker offensively.
I think foul trouble stopped them being really competitive though.

The topic title caught my interest. 36 points, great effort from him.

Glad you're back to winning!

That's a pretty solid Nets starting five, if you ask me. Great win Phil!

I certainly wasn't expecting Korver to be their key man when they had Howard and Williams playing.

They could probably do with a better starting power forward, but they've already traded for Dwight and Iggy this season so I wouldn't think they'd be involved in any more deals. Maybe they will be able to pick one up through free agency next year.

Currently going through the process of downloading all of my highlight videos from this dynasty onto my laptop.
I'm thinking of making some compilations with them. Any suggestions?

Awesome game for Rose, the 10 turnovers aside. 20 turnovers by Chris Paul might also be a record.

He can have that record.

I was surprised at how little effect Kevin Martin had on the game. They don't exactly have a wealth of scoring talent, but he was pretty anonymous.
