I've been waiting for someone to update the rookie portraits (compatible with the 2Krosters) before I start adding my retro team missing portraits.

This will be released when all rookies are in the official 2K roster (meaning when all rookies are officially signed).
Untill then, I can't send you a list of all rookies, because we don't know yet what ID-number the new rookies will have.

We did - all retro players / legends will have portraits in the 4,000s allowing us to leave the regular player IDs alone as well as NBA2KSHARE player updates with whatever their assigned IDs are. Current legends already in the game with "computerized portraits" will simply be replaced with the real ones so there won't ever be a need to keep re-assigning portrait IDs for every 2KRoster Update.

BUT there is something else you'll have to do then: you'll have to duplicate all files, rename them portrait.iff, portrait.cdf, portrait_hi.cdf, portrait_hi.iff, and put all of them in your 2Kfolder.
So basically you have 2x2 files with the same size, yes.
Because Hawk and I had a feeling that some people would have a hard time dealing with the copying, we decided do do that ourselves, and include all files in 1 rar. That's the one you see in description, but the one I mentioned here, was the original idea.
Don't worry, it has the same result

Thank-You so much guys! It is downloading MUCH faster. (about 3 mins remaining compared to 5 hours!) lol. Thanks a bunch. Now, I see it is like 103mb now. I have to copy (portrait.iff, portrait.cdf, portrait_hi.cdf, portrait_hi.iff) and then rename them? Im sorry Im a little confused. Then put both ( portrait.iff, portrait.cdf, portrait_hi.cdf, portrait_hi.iff)'s in the NBA2K12 Folder? So I will have 2 of the same file?

You'll see what the file contains: 2 files + readme. You copy those 2 files and rename them to portrait.iff and portrait.cdf
Result should be: portrait.iff, portrait.cdf (100MB) , portrait_hi.cdf (100MB), portrait_hi.iff.
The files are the same, yes, but you just have to do it, in order to have it work.

They Look GREAT! Except some of the rookies dont have a portrait yet. (V. Macklin Pistons) And then of course there are other rookies that do and dont have Portraits. (Im using resdimon's latest Dec. 27th Roster.) OH YEAH, J.R. Smith Wilson Chandler and Kenyon Martin (Free Agents Pool) DO NOT have a portrait?! I know they DID when I used another roster. Would that be the problem? Other than that everything is AMAZING!

Their portraits are in the file, but this file is compatible with 2K official roster. and in the official rosters, kenyon martin, brandon roy and wilson chandler, are not included.
So resdimon had added kenyon, brandon and wilson, but they don't have their portraits assigned.
And about the rookies: I'm going to fix this, it's just I didn't have them yet, till now.
So if i get there, i'll update it.

You don't need to duplicate and rename the cdf file. The cdf file should be without _hi. Duplicate the iff file.
