IMO Fisher did a better job than Hunter and could/ should keep his job. I mean he's not paid for being paid for his activities offside the court but still put some real effot in it. He also lacks a successor, that's why he should stay...

Majority of the players will agree with it since they wants to go gets paids.
Majority of the owners would probably accept the deal considering the there are 9 owners with the hardest stance (according to reports) or 14 as some reported, which isn't enough for a majority vote.

I hope Fisher is going to get axed.I mean,did you see his face when the players rejected the last deal.His facial expression was like"Fuck!I can't believe we are doing this!".And Stern did not look none too happy as well at this press conference.Ithink both sides were getting an ear full from the players.They are not going to admit that but oh well.And today was actually the first time i heard Stern or any side talk about the workers that depend on the games to be played at the arenas.I just can't wait to see who has kept in shape and who hasn't.

The agreement is for 10 years, with each side holding the option to opt out after six seasons. The new revenue split, which is a band of 49 to 51 percent for the players, could mean as much as a $3 billion gain for owners over the term of the deal. The players previously received 57 percent of basketball-related income. Maximum contract lengths and annual raises are sharply reduced in the new agreement.

Specifics of NBA’s proposed labor deal

• Revenue split: The players will receive anywhere from 49 percent to 51 percent of basketball-related income based on revenue projections.

• Maximum contract lengths: five years for Larry Bird rights players; four years for non-Bird players.

• Maximum salary: One player per team is eligible to receive a maximum salary worth 30 percent of the salary cap. Players with less than six years experience can receive maximum salary worth 25 percent of the cap.

• Midlevel exception: up to $5 million starting salary with four-year maximum contract length; teams that exceed the luxury-tax threshold by $4 million will be limited to using a $3 million midlevel exception with a three-year maximum contract.

• New $2.5 million exception for teams below the salary cap to go over the cap. Those teams can’t use the midlevel or bi-annual exceptions.

• No reduction in rookie scale or minimum salaries.

• Extend-and-trade contracts similar to the one Carmelo Anthony(notes) received prior to his trade from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks last season will continue to be permitted.

• Escrow pool: Ten percent of player salaries will be held each year.

• Teams now have three days to match offer sheets given to their own restricted free agents.

• Minimum team salary increases to 85 percent of the salary cap in the first two years of the deal and 90 percent of the cap in the years thereafter.

• Each team has one amnesty clause to use on a player currently under contract. The players’ salary will be removed from the team’s cap.

Seems like both sides made some concessions when it's all said and done. Sounds pretty fair.

This is a deep-pocketed team looking to build a winner. The Knicks still need more players, and with a hard cap out of the picture, they continue to have some flexibility to keep spending if they have to.

In theory only, I would suggest. As long as Dolan's in charge and if Isiah Thomas does end up officially calling the shots again, I don't think it matters what kind of system is in place. Those two will find a way to muck up a good thing.
