Re: OKC - [60-14] - Durant does it again

Andrew wrote:Leaving nothing to chance with the drive. (Y) With the dice roll approach on jumpshots that we know has been in every game up to and including NBA Live 10, that's my preferred strategy too when I need a timely bucket.

I've missed quite a few potentially game-winning jumpshots on the buzzer in the past. Now I always look to drive to the basket. Even if I miss at least there is a chance I could get fouled.

Nice to see this running again. :) Some close wins, Blake's scoring is great, but he isn't putting up those near triple-double numbers he had earlier.

Awesome game by Griffin, nice to see him getting decent numbers on the boards as well. Mo Williams is proving to be quite effective off the bench, too.

Thanks. I think my several weeks of not playing any games may be why Blake isn't playing as well as he was when he first arrived. Hopefully he improves as I get back into my rhythm.

Marvin actually. But yeah, I like my options off the bench. Both Lopez and Griffin are doing pretty well lately in the rebounding department. Even Durant is having some decent rebounding games.

I've actually just finished the regular season but can't be bothered typing up more than 1-2 box scores at a time. Should all be done this week though so I can get into the playoffs. I have an interesting first round opponent.

It was surprising considering it was bench guys doing the majority of the damage. It was a really open game. 123 points is more than I usually concede.

Re: OKC - [68-14] - Regular season review

Durant should've at least been on the All-NBA Second Team in addition to the All-Defensive First Team but those are some decent results across the board. Time for the Playoffs and what I feel is the inevitable third clash with the Heat.

Thunder bring in veteran pair for playoff campaign

ImageImage

Oklahoma City have today announced the signing of veterans Grant Hill and Allen Iverson ahead of their first round playoff series against Dallas.
Both players may be a bit rusty having sat out the whole season as free agents, just like Shaquille O'Neal had done before he was signed by the Thunder.
But they are unlikely to be asked to play significant minutes in every game and so far the Shaq experiment has worked out pretty well for all concerned.
Before today they only had the league minimum 12 players on their roster. Now they have more depth and a nice balance of youth and experience.

Starters
Brook Lopez - Blake Griffin - Kevin Durant - James Harden - Russell Westbrook

Bench
Andrea Bargnani - George Hill - Marvin Williams - Ryan Gomes - Shaquille O'Neal - Grant Hill - Allen Iverson

Inactive
Al Cunningham - Eric Bledsoe

Bryant likely to miss playoffs

Image

In other news today, it seems that Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant will miss the entire playoffs with a knee injury.
Scans today revealed the extent of the damage that occurred when Bryant hyper-extended his knee earlier this week.
He will be out for up to 3 months. It's a massive blow for the Lakers just days before they start their series against San Antonio.
John Salmons is expected to take up Kobe's starting spot. The likes of Maynor, Price and Cook will have to step up also.

I'm not really sure of the rules for the award, but he did start a few games if that matters?
