Robert Vaden.

It's because of the lockout, 2K are not allowed to add the rookies until it is over.

Download a roster off 2K Share that has created rookies in it. You'll have to settle with that for now.

What if I start a new My Player Mode?
Will the rookies are there when I start it?

If you downloaded a roster that includes rookies you'll have the rookies in your new MP mode. If you do not download a roster with that rookies you won't have any new rookies in that mode.

Okay sir.
Thanks for the help.
But where and who can I download the best edited roster?
I mean everything there is fix.
Like derrick rose ankle bracer and etc.
Because of the 2K's default roster, derrick rose don't have a ankle bracer.

I'd just wait for the patch anyway. The poor AI and ridiculous trade glitch makes the rosters pretty much irrelevant anyway.

As you wish sir.
I decide to wait for it too. :)
I see some glitches too.
Like a goaltending.
It's hard to explain here a goaltending I see.
But I know what is a Goaltending.
And that goaltending is a different.

Buy the way.
Thank you sir.
You gave a me a final decision.
But what if the 2K not release a patch and also when they will release that patch?

They're currently working on a patch for the 360/PS3 version that I believe will be out within a couple of months. If their official updates for past games are anything to go by, the PC patch likely wouldn't come for another couple of months after that.

Rookies won't be added until the lockout ends, which doesn't look like happening anytime soon unfortunately.

im a little confused...correct me if im wrong...

last year's MP, even if you have a roster that includes the Kyrie Irving batch, it doesnt show up in MP..

so this year, if i have a roster that includes the rookies, they will be in the game? do i get to play with/against them in the showcase? or do they just show up as part of the lineups...?

thanks

IIRC it depends on the draft class. If rookies are already in the roster but not in draft class, they won't show up in rookie showcase but will be on teams afterwards. If rookies are in the draft class, you will play with/ against them in rookie showcase but the draft might turn out to be a fantasy draft (e.g. Jimmer might not go to the Kings).
If rookies are already in the roster but not in the draft class, the game generates random rookies which are drafted alongside you plus there are the "real" rookies which will be already in the rosters (that actually doubles the amount of rookies for your first year).
It's pretty f*cked up now...

If you use a draft class, you won't play against them. It seems like draft classes don't even work in MP since I got the default 2k rookies. If you use a roster with the real rookies in there, you will play against the default 2k rookies during the Rookie Showcase, but it looks like that once they get drafted they're not on their teams, but the real rookies already on the roster are.

Are you sure? I saw some generated rookies later ingame despite having the "real" rookies in that roster. Could it be because some teams had still spots on their roster available?
Edit: My mistake. Looked at the wrong savegame. Checked the teams in my (newest) MP game again, only real rookies. Couldn't find any of the 2K default rookies. They just disappeared after rookie showcase...

I could be very wrong on this. I thought I read that the "generated rookies" in the first year are the D-League players, so they could be called up during a season.

The entire system seems to be designed to only function once the lockout ends, they may or may not patch it before then.

I simmed 3 seasons and I have yet to see a generated rookie (from the showcase) show up in the game (Actual game play, or stats). It seems like they just disappear after the draft.
Now personally I don't mind this since the generated rookies are basically the actual rookies only with different names etc. so you don't end up with 'duplicated' players on the roster if you use a roster with the real rookies.
