When Are You Gonna Buy NBA 2K12?

Somewhere out there is a copy of 2K12 with my name on it. I technically own a copy before the release date. YEAAAY!!!!

I have mine preordered through Amazon with release date delivery too but that still haven't shipped it. Starting to get worried...

Its just after 8 local time and it still says shipping soon. Starting to get a bit worried...None of the stores carry the PC version around here, otherwise I'd just run up there.

if u ordered it off amazon then for sure demand like $10 off and say the reason u got it off amazon was for the release day delivery. IDK if newegg was also doing the free release day delivery but for sure use that as a claim. But still there is enough time. They are doing overnight shipping so it must not take that long.

I was talking to a guy at dick smith and he was saying that they are being dispatched today and will be at the store on thursday. So. I might get a call on thursday but most likely be a friday release.. I think they got slamed last year after that release shambles... hahaha

I will definitely demand some sort of credit if I don't get it tomorrow. I don't live that far from the distribution center so its possible they ship it in the morning, I suppose.

On a side note, does anyone know when redbox's update? I'll gladly run up there at midnight to hold me over until the mail gets here. I read they update every tuesday, but question is if they stock it on tuesdays, or on mondays and update on tuesdays.

Yeah, the guy at EB Games said they actually have them in stock now but it's a $10,000 fine if they sell them early. Guess they're cracking down on it.

Lucky guys... Instead of $ 30 I have to pay 30 € for PC version... Price for PS3/ 360 is around 60 € btw.

nice one proto, reminds me of 07 and 08 when I'd pick up 360/PC of Live and 360 of 2K at the same time.

Good thing I have that preorder from Amazon (no idea when it's getting here) cause all the "local" (within 90 minutes) stores dont have the game.

Pre-ordered mine for XBox 360 this morning. Will probably take a while to get to my place in the mail but worth it to get the codes for the Kings and Warriors.

I'm pre-ordering through NZ website Mighty Ape, since it's about $25 cheaper than EB (& $15 cheaper than JB HiFi). Hopefully I have by Friday, but if not will likely be by Monday. No biggie.

If you or any other Brisbanites want it early, check out EB Brisbane City Myer Centre. I got it there 2 days early last year & word has it that they have it in stock out back, so there might be a chance of getting it tomorrow, maybe Thursday at latest. That store has a habit of breaking street dates unless they've been explicitally told not to, which with an American basketball title is unlikely.

Since I'm not at work the next two days, I won't be able to pick it up & cancel my pre-order, but all good, a lot to do on weekend.

unfortunately its not out until friday here in the uk and to make matters worse I don't get paid until the week after so it looks like ill be picking it up next thursday, provided I can persuade my younger brother to let me play it on his PS3. pretty envious in all honesty especially proto with his 3 different copies. damn you

Turns out I won't receive 2k until either tomorrow or Thursday because it was a PC order and not PS3 or 360 order so they have been basically screwing over PS2 and PC buyers . Only bright side is I'm going to get the $10 back for overnight shipping.

My pre-order from Mighty Ape shipped half an hour ago. Best case scenario I have tomorrow, which is a day before Aussie street date, worst case scenario is Monday. Hopefully I get by Friday at latest so I've got it for weekend & is $30 cheaper than in store & hopefully get the 3 covers plus DLC code.
