Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

which port is the PC getting this year---2K10 or 2K11?

As always, PC players are screwed so everything that I've seen in 2K12 thus far will not be on the PC version. Anyone have any word on which port we'll be getting this year? Will it be the same as last year's?

I'm a little confused too.

2K11 didn't have the same menu's as the consoles (they had the same as 2k10 because they are easier to navigate with a mouse than the normal menus)
PC didn't get custom music
And PC didn't get the lighting engine of the console version of 2k11.
Online worked but was forced on low settings.

Those are the only differences between the $60 console version and the "screwed over" $30 PC version for 2K11.

PC version is getting all the My Player changes, all the Legends, all the defensive and new control schemes, on top of all the gameplay refinements and animation additions. So please, why do you think we are getting screwed over? And how do you think we got screwed over with 2k11?
Opinions are my own.

He probably means how FIFA 11 on PC was actually FIFA 10 from PS3/X360.But no,2K is not a bitch.PC version will be completely the same as next gen consoles.
Lightning engine....I mean really? That is such a small detail,I cant care less.
Still taking my time to perfect the beat
And I still got love for the streets.

Where did you get this info? Can you post a link pls? None of the 2K devs are answering any questions on Twitter/official forums and there's very little info about the PC version.

The PC Version has always been the same apart from the menus, I can tell you this after playing both 2k10 and 2k11 on pc and xbox, there are only tiny things that don't matter unless you really want to pick at the game.

you can safely assume that everything they announce will be in the PC version unless told otherwise. If you are this paranoid about it then wait a day or two before purchasing and Im sure people will post about any omissions.

KitCh, I have NBA 2k11 on both the PC and the XBox 360 and rest assured that the differences between the 2 are only: custom arena/menu music, menu interface, the headless-player-in-the-replay-bug, and a different lighting effect.
In all of which the PC users get the short end of the stick, but all the stuff that matters are identical.
There's no reason to suppose that it will change for the worse this year. If anything it should change for the better since there are more people playing on the PC now than ever.
And in the end I never even played my XBox 360 version anymore. With superior graphics and a crapload of mods the PC version ends up being way better than the X360 one. So don't worry.

Plus, your PC can get porn way easier.

In short, the meat of the game - the gameplay and gameplay options, the game modes, etc - is the same in the PC version as it is in the 360 and PS3. As others have said, it's unlikely that will change this year, so there's no reason to be worried.

OK, thank you for all the replies! I'm very happy to hear that there are only minor differences between the console and PC versions! (Y)

We can mod the game I will take that over any of the small things that are left out of the PC version, you must not have ever played on PC because that was kinda of an ignorant comment & most likely would have never made that comment if you knew all the things we could do on PC, and Jao made some valid points here we really get our $20.00 worth considering all that was mentioned.
