Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

For example, here in God's Paw anyone can sign up, pay the $90 or whatever it is and take the two certification tests. Then you're legally certified to teach in the State of God's Paw. (And in the olden days, in many reciprocal states.) You're just not going to get hired at a public school because you don't have an education degree and the CBAs require them so they can shut people out of the cartel who didn't go through the proper route.

I believe it's about $110 here in TX, and that also authorizes you to teach anywhere in that state. My wife already has a BA's in English and she mentioned that charter schools are basically all you can hope for, compared to doing substitute teaching in crappy public schools.

damn i failed at an interview today for a creative/design internship. they tested my skillz and wanted a logo done from scratch for a new potato chip company with no help or base to work off of in 20 minutes... yeah it was hard. hopefully they'll look past that because i did pretty well in the verbal part

Sorry to hear it. Maybe you did better than you thought, if not keep your head up and be on the lookout for the next opportunity. (Y)

It is a fact that visual designs are best expressed spoken.

Just keeping it real Q. Don't want you wasting your time by getting your hopes up and waiting for that internship when you can move on, find another one and hopefully do better there.

true. thanks man, i should be able to get more opportunities in the future. but it was the first chance i've had in a while, and i interviewed with the creator of NOS energy drink, who's the owner of the agency and i was just really excited in general. but if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.

The guys at NOS do get a lot of good Flash ad banners. Seem they don't restrict themselves to the 40kb file size limit.

That sucks to hear. It's less convenient but I'm glad I always purchase the cards at the stores and don't have any credit card info on XBL or PSN

They're investigating it. Will take 25-30 days where i cant do anything like purchasing or whatever with my account. The guy didnt instill my confidence when he said "play it hard while you can" before he hung up...i was like..."uh..is he implying my accounts gonna get axed?" I also reported the purchase to paypal. so i have to wait and see what their response is.

Don't worry about it, Microsoft has promised to bring this innovative experience to PCs next year, I'm sure they'll work out the kinks by then. Or by the next console.

They haven't had the time to perfect this yet, get off their case already.
