2K10 association. Had the option of doing one with 2K10 or 2K11 after this happened to me sometime ago. Decided to go with 2K10 since I'm familiar with it, I only had 5 seasons under 2K11 as compared to 30 seasons with 2K10 and I really wanted to see the end of 2K's Association mode.

Already 30 years into association again. Despite that, no one from the generics are particularly dominant like the way we have seen Shaq, Jordan, Durant, Rose, Wade, or Dwight (LeBron is different, he's on a Wilt level).
I decided to make the highest rated prospects (84 ovr) in the recent draft class to be a copy (ratings and tendency-wise) of certain legends. I renamed a PG to be John Earving and a SG to be Jordan Michaels with their corresponding edit and limited both with 89 overall (they are still rookies).
Earving's rookie per game stats are pretty much close to the legend he's supposed to copy, except for the scoring and steals. He's leading the Lakers to top in the West. Haven't played them yet so I don't know if he plays like the legend.
Michaels' scoring, rebounds, and assists are a bit off compared to the original. I played against them and he played more like Kobe with the way he jacked up shots. Pretty unstoppable though when he drives to the lane especially in the fast break and surprised me with some alley-oop moments. Bulls are currently 3rd in the East.
Maybe a little bit of tweaks to their ratings and tendencies after their rookie season to make them play like the real deal.

Next up: C named Neal Cash, SF James LeBeau (from France!), and PF Barry Charles in the succeeding draft classes if the highest rated prospects are in those positions mentioned. It's going to be a fun final 10 years in my association.

Playin the Heat
(Y)

Someone remember that team?

First of the late 80's expansion teams who made the Playoffs in 1992. It was before the Shaq and Penny era in Orlando, when this team drawed attention.

Won against the Celtics, New Jersey and Philly. Glen Rice sinked 9 threes against the New Jersey Nets.

Been playing a association with the Thunder. Won the Finals in year 2, and have been a contender since. I've begun to have this rivalry with the Suns, who have had my number in the post season. Playing Game 7 of the WCF vs them, in 2015

Was bored so started an association with the Celtics. First season, no trades, all simulated, lost to Chicago in EC semi-finals. But the off-season was great. Re-signed Green to a big deal, but he was a great spark for us. I let the other guys walk.

The draft, Charlotte made a very stupid deal. I had two youngsters, JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore, both didn't play much during my first year. The Bobcats offered the #2 pick and Gerald Henderson for those, I immediately accepted. Used the #2 pick on Andre Drummond, who's now my starting C.

Picked up Kurt Thomas, Jason Richardson and Luc Mbah a Moute in FA.

So the line-up for season #2 :

C - Drummond/Thomas
F - KG/Green/Mbah a Moute
F - Pierce/Henderson/Mbah a Moute
G - Allen/Richardson
G - Rondo/Bradley

Will play some games, looks a lot of fun.

So My Player gets a Player of the Week award, despite dropping all three games that week. Had to average 35ppg, 7rpg, and 8apg on approximately 70% shooting from downtown to do it. This included a triple-double game and a 55-point game.

In my Raptor Association. I got Dwade (Trade override.xD)

Then simmed it up to March. I'm on 5 or 7 games before playoffs. We're currently at 10 or 9th place in Eastern. Need to win 6 wins to clinch a spot. :D This is a tough one.:D Dwade scoring most of the time, averaging 30ppg per game on that month.

DAMN IT 2K11! :cussing:

My Player: I'm averaging upwards on 20 ppg, 5 rpg, and 6 apg, and 37% from downtown. Somehow my Blazers are 5-17, then we go on a three-game win streak, then we drop five in a row. Out of nowhere, Nate McMillan is fired, and replaced by Doc Rivers. Then after the next game (a decisive win vs. San Antonio in which I scored 35 and held TP to 10 points and 4 assists), all hell broke loose. Gerald Wallace sprained his neck in the final moments of the game, and after the game I found out that Lamarcus Aldridge was traded for Anthony Randolph and Lazar Hayward. The very next game, Batum was swapped for Patrick Patterson and a future first-rounder. Brandon Roy is now also unhappy with the team. Looks like I will be on my sixth team before long.

Has anyone else noticed the team that you play for in My Player is always hyperactive when it comes to trades?

I'm currently doing a cleveland cavaliers dynasty. In our first year i drafted a power forward. He's a young Dirk, he has a decent midrange shot, and a great three point shot for a big man. As a rookie his three point shot is rated 70 and his midrange shot is rated in the very low 60's.

He's a very good dunker, his dunking is above 90. I'm going to build this team into a team similar to tha mavericks. With the star being the power forward. But unlike Dirk, this guy can block, his blocking stat is 88. I sim my games, because playing is too easy for me and i want a challenge.

In this draft with the first pick i'll probably draft a wingman, perferabally a small forward. Especially since we have Afflalo. I might make one trade this year, by trading Anderson for either a point gaurd or a big.

I played a game against boston and it was a good one. Boston took an early 8 to 2 lead in the first quartor. Afflalo kept missing
too many three pointers. But he finished the game with 17 points. Jamison had 13 points, they were the two leaders, Varejao was a rebounding machine in the first quartor and ended up with 9 boards.

Cleveland won 85 to 79. We almost lost late in the 4th, but we started making our shots.

We had a good draft, as i drafted a 7'3 athletic dunker but poor insider scorer in Lance Giles. We also drafted a small forward with our first pick who was rated 83, and is a good shot blocker, which is why i drafted him. I didn't make any trades last season, not since our first year since we traded for Afflalo.

I was thinking of trading Jamison and Gibson for either a point gaurd or a center and have Varejo come off the bench.

just absolutely took the Clippers outback, bent them over and went to town on them in my Pheonix Dynasty. I got Blake Griffin, Chris Kaman and Al-Farouq Aminu in exchange for Vince Carter, Robin Lopez and Garrett Siler. Major trade rape yes but do I give a damn, not in the slightest. If anything makes my beloved Suns contenders I'll jump at it. Starting 5 now consists of Nash at PG, My 80 rated created self at the 2-guard and a front court of Hill, Griffin and Kaman. Finnished out the 1st month with a win over Denver taking us to 9-8 after a poor start. Somehow I think I'm going to enjoy this season :D

Meanwhile, simmed a couple of years with Boston. Lost in ECF in the first year, won a championship in the second and i'm on the East Semis in the 3rd.

6'9" 230 lbs. SF named Gabe Wade in my 76ers Association won ASG MVP, DPoY, and Season MVP for the 2029-2030 season. Wade's comparison is Scottie Pippen with a good post game. Currently in the ECF against the Bucks both tied at 2-2.

Cpu teams really make me angry sometimes. On one team i had Thabeet, robin Lopez, and Oden in the center rotation. Landry Fields is the starting shooting gaurd. And in one month there were 4 teams that offered me trade proposals for all of my centers.

Most of the players who these teams offered were young like Aaron Brooks, one team offered me Luther Head. But the worst proposal of all was, that one team offered me Michael Redd, for Greg Oden? I ignored all of these trades, and this is why i don't like to help these other teams when i offer them trades. But of course i always do.

It does go through the occasional lull, particularly around the release of a new game. I wouldn't be surprised if it picks up again when NBA 2K12 comes out.
