more little things of note

Saw a little suction when it came to the lane. Got sucked into a post defend animation a few times. Not a constant issue though.

Not sure about wingspan. No game sims in my player.

No (draft) combine. (just that college All-Star Game)

Same (shoes) as last year. Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Jordan, Converse.

(hopstep) is in the game but its a two button press now. Cant remember the buttons though.

No (My Player Teammates) definitely score. One of my teammates had 25 points and was a black hole. He was a gunner.

Just as we had anticipated. Looks like My Player will have generic rookies in the meantime, judging by today's screenshots.

i dont know if im weird, but one of my favorite first things to do when getting 2k games is look at all the new player CF's, and the rookies won't be in until after the lockout! still can't wait, but thats a little of a downer haha

I agree with you on this one. It'll be much fun trying out all the weird hidden CFs this game will definitely have.

More tidbits

all skill drills have been redone

halftime was the same as last year from what I saw. Just a recap of the two most significant players. (later revised and stated that there were no highlights, just the player's pictures)

5 min quarters (default) for legend games, da_czar has mentioned playing 12min quarters, so we can probably customize

good info on the dynamic updates (which should prove interesting for PC patchers)

I did. 2k says everything can be updated now. The court, the crowd, the jerseys, tattoos, haircuts etc. An example I was given is if fans at MSG start regularly waiving towels or wearing blue shirts, 2k will go in and change the crowd at MSG. Same goes if Kobe decides to get a face tattoo.

What I didnt get an answer about is whether these changes work in active franchises. I start my franchise with the start of the NBA season and would hate to not be able to use a new teams court unless I start my franchise over. I have a feeling that these changes will be attached to roster updates and wont be transferable to active franchise.

My interest level in buying 2k12 just took a pretty big hit.

Hopefully there's association upgrades/fixes so it returns.

with T-Search and other programs we can lock 29 games or 52 games in place so technically PC users can work around that, but still, 82 games is ridiculous, especially when you can play a lot of minutes with a shitty player.

One thing I forgot was Kevin Harlin's signature phrases are now in the game. I heard a "Right Between The Eyes" after nailing a Hubert Davis 3.

That was left out iirc because of the E rating, and that implied violence or something.....w/e it's in the game now

I actually had something occur that I hadnt seen in past games. In My Player, I was guarding my man tight but not reaching in. He turned into me, lost the ball and it lead to a steal even though I didnt press the steal button or attempt a reach in.

A lack of a sim option is unfortunate. Similar to not being able to skip/sim the Draft at the beginning of My Player this year, I think the user should at least have the option. Anyone who wants to sit through the whole thing or play all 82 games is free to do so and ignore all sim options, so everyone wins.

Just an update on what I've found out, a guy on OS found the 2nd round picks on the disc with Hex Editor.

yea someone posted a 360 roster over there and you can see all the names and shit in there.

i think if modding system will be as usual (2K10, 2K11) great roster patchers will do they work

Hopefully 2k has sorted out the spin move which almost always resulted in either a charge of a travel, also hope the charge button works properly this year too!
