NBA 2K12 Covers Revealed

i belive there will be something different ingame, depending which cover you'll get.... sad 'cuz don't wanna buy 3 games! :S

It is confirmed there wont be anything different,I cannot find quote right now.But it would be cool if we had different posters for example.

I strongly suspect that the legendary covers are a sidekick from the lock out.Remeber that the official nba site picturizes only retired players.So i believe that to get the game out through the lockout they had to use retired players on the cover.

it would be nice if they had one w/all 3 on the cover as an option .......

Jordan's cover looks the best. I'll probably get that one if I decide to buy 2K12, but it all depends on if they fix their glitches...

I'm getting all three covers and will be switching them monthly on my game box.

It could be that, but if you think about it... the buzz around having MJ on the cover last year I am sure boosted sales to that next level so it could be a ploy to
gain the same numbers in profit if not more by continuing the legend covers

If its Derrick Rose, I'mma be under-excited, but the "Magic Vs. Bird" idea would have me overexcited!!! : )

I called it, well, not exactly, but can i get some credit....j/k! I wanted Magic Vs. Bird, not three separate covers, especially since Jordan was here last year but i kinda think EA is holding on to those rights for Magic Vs. Bird. I never really played the Jordan Challenge anyway, they should just come out with information about "My Player" Yesterday!

Also, looks like they are going back to the $20 price point for the PC version

Maybe, because they are too lazy to include "Dynamic Lighting" which is now standard in "Current Gen".....Arkham City, MLB the show, NCAA football, Madden, Dirt 3, etc. I know its nitpicking but im just saying. Its probably the fact that in 2k9 & 2k10 supposedly looked better than the consoles so they gave us a reason to buy the console version who knows!

this maybe another strategy to make us choose a cover via twitter or facebook or something like that, highly unlikely since i assume the guys are paid now to appear on the cover. it would have been nice to see a larry vs magic cover so that it will be theirs solely (well not really solo now, aiy?) but put anything basketball related and the name michael jordan and you can't be wrong.

I liked more the MJ cover, but i hope 2K release all the 3 covers in the 3 different consoles

They reach agreements with players to appear on the cover independently, so the lockout probably wouldn't prevent them from appearing on the cover. However, the inclusion of more historical content and three retired all-time greats on the covers is probably influenced partly by the lockout and part of their contingency plan for new content in the game until the lockout is resolved.

It's not, but apparently the Bird and Magic covers will be limited collectibles.

The Bird and Johnson covers will be available only at launch while supplies last for PlayStation 3 so you’ll have to jump on the game early to make sure you get your favorite.

They could've at least adjusted the background colors to the Magic and Bird covers accordingly.
