NBA Elite 11 Championship Video

Hey guys,

It's been a while. No, EA did not exercise any sort of cease and desist against me.

Anyway, I was wondering, since nobody has really seen the NBA Elite Championship video (including myself), I was wondering if you guys would like me to try and cap it, and upload it for all to see? I cannot imagine it could be a whole lot worse than 2k11's (pretty weak IMO). It was a great NBA season, and I would be happy to have the virtual Mavs lift the trophy in Miami for everyone to see. Let me know!

You're absolutely right, certainly underwhelming considering we basically saw the same thing in the demo. Something else for the Wishlist.

that, wasnt what i expected.... truely disappointed... but maybe thats another reason to show that game wasnt ready for release... 2k is really hammering the EA basketball... wonder if EA will ever be able to catch up....

I certainly hope they'll be able to make up some ground, having taken two years off.

Underwhelming is such a nice word. It flat out sucks. I've seen players celebrate more than that because of a buzzer beater in 2K.

I think that video displays how NBA video games can really improve on their situational presentation. Every miss by the losing away team and rebound by the home team that brings them closer to the title should have a big roar from the crowd, and that last possession where they dribble out the clock should have a huge roar of cheering and whistling along with a standing ovation, and then a peak of crowd noise once the buzzer sounds. Teammates should be hugging each other, jumping in the air or on top of one another, grasping the ball or throwing it 50 feet into the air. A locker room celebration with champagne, or dumping a Gatorade cooler onto the coach. Coaches should shake hands, exchange sweet-nothings into each ear and make out. Players on the losing team with an expiring contract should remove their jersey.

Seen this one in that other game. Every Celtics players crowded over Ray Allen, it was a nice touch since Jesus was retiring after that season in my association.

Um, not really Pat. The first time I picked it up in months was like a week ago. I played the Become a Legend mode for about 3 hours or so. It was fun. And I have learned to accept the game for what it is, and not compare it to 2K. If you can look past the incredibly horrible ported graphics for the PS3 version, and some clumpy animations, the game is not THAT bad. I enjoyed my time with it, I may try and finish a Become Legendary mode over the summer, and post some of the Jordan Brand videos along the way.

Still worse in mostly all aspects, however, the level of control & commentary/presentation is a plus.

I think we touched on this during the podcast pilot, but do you reckon they should've gone ahead and released it anyway, taken their lumps with poor ratings and then take the year off this year to work on the game based on our feedback?

Still wonder why they took all of Live 10's things out SMH, I'm glad they didn't release this LOL
