Looks like a typical 2k11 trade, just like the Raptors did in my association. (raptors got 4 talented PG there)

Nice win over Orlando... have to check my prediction. W-W -100% so far :D

haha its funny how the slam dunk spot keeps changing

...IMO, it should have just been Ariza taking his spot since he's in the voting and then Rudy Gay take's the last spot

Q-Rich is kinda...uhm....bad knees...to be in the dunk contest...he's only a shooter now

Valdis,
osaki, Totally typical 2K11 trade. Happy for ya Osaki :D

KidJustin, I wish that this thing could be over. I mean, Q-Rich stays and somebody get the last vote. Whether its Gay or Wade, or Ariza gets 2

Cavs edge the Raptors in the Forth

Image

First Quarter

With both teams being strong and having some history, Cleveland fans were eager to see their old team-captain Daniel Gibson play again.

It started off however really neck-and-neck. Both teams were tough and did not want to be behind a lot. As DeMar DeRozan came in, so did "Boobie", as the fans cheered wildly, while both of the players were killing it.

It was DeRozan dominating, but with the game of the Raptors, they had no chance to take the lead further, as it was 25-22 with some seconds remaining.

But when DeRozan rebounded the ball, he did something so amazing that I have not seen this for a long time (check the video below). That was the reason, why the first ended 26-25, for the Cavaliers.

phpBB [video]

Cavaliers top scorer : D.DeRozan 8 PTS 3 REB 1 BLK
Raptors top scorer : L.Barbosa 7 PTS 3 REB 2 AST 1 STL

Second Quarter

It seemed like Toronto had given up and the Cavaliers were taking this one.

With Ryan Hollins getting his minutes of play, Blake Griffin felt that it would be good to punish him. That being said, he dropped all of his points in the second, on Hollins and Barg.

Demar still dominated and did not give up, as Baron came to help, hitting the three.

With the Raptors needing somebody to step up, it was Jerryd Bayless who started to score. Barg tried to help out but it was not enough, as the half ended 67-50.

Cavaliers top scorer : D.DeRozan 15 PTS 3 REB 1 BLK
Raptors top scorer : J.Bayless 15 PTS 3 REB 4 AST 1 STL

Third Quarter

Things went even more worse, as Cleveland was lock-and-loaded for the third. Demar still continued on his great game while Griffin started to take matters in his own hand to kill the team.

Bayless and everybody else were pretty cold exept for Andrea Bargnani, who started to score on his own will. Barbosa started hitting the shots and got his points too. But he killed the team with the three.

As Bargnani himself can never make a difference, as the third ended 95-77, with the game being all over.

Cavaliers
top scorer : B.Griffin 23 PTS 8 REB 1 BLK
Raptors top scorer : A.Bargnani 20 PTS 4 REB 4 BLK

Forth Quarter

Toronto seemed motivated, as Weems came in, stole the ball twice, and dunked it. After that, the Cavaliers crumbled, as Toronto forced them to turnover the ball a lot.

Blake Griffin however was doing his job, so he had no problem dominating them. However, with every bucket, the Raptors came closer and closer, edging the game to 4.

With 20.6 seconds left, Weems was open in the right corner but got blocked by Griffin, but the ball was rebounded by Bargnani to dunk it in nasty and make the game a difference of two.

Somebody needed to step up, and that somebody was? The Blake Show. With 10 seconds left, Blake flew and dunked on three-players to make the game to four.

After that, Cavaliers played some good defence and extended the game to six, to win it 119-113.

At the end of the game, everybody knew that Cleveland had won, but the real applaud went to Daniel Gibson.

Press Conference:

"DeRozan, what was it like to play against your old team?"
"It felt great. Had a chance to talk to the guys and they were not mad. I hope after this win they still aren't."

"Gibson, how did you feel when the crowed started clapping in the end."
"Well, I still have to say, that Cleveland have the best fans. If you were true to them, they are true to you."

Conclusion:

With the Cleveland Cavaliers are now tied with Miami Heat, things will fire up even more. Toronto however needs to pick it up, as they will have to fight the Magic for the eigth seed.

Draft Interview

Postby Cruzerr on Mon Jun 06, 2011 2:46 am

A Small Update b4 this one. As some of the members have not shown up in these last times, I might send some of them to the 2012 class and swap them with the current, but empty 2012 class. We will see how things plan out.
This is pretty good news for people, who have not sent their draftees yet, as they might even get a spot in the 2011 draft, with 2-3 players being away from the forum.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are at it again, it is time for the Draft Combine !

Image

When I first saw this kid, I thought he was a crazy fan. I was with Derrick Rose, and the guy jumped on him, asking for pictures and autographs. Then, when I saw him play, his jumper was exactly like Rose, hell, the guy is Rose! But no, Daniel Alexander is a 20 year old man, with a gifted game level and tremendous work ethic. The man is out of Memphis, a "not well known" but still, a great place for young talents to play in. With seeing this boy destroy his opponents with his massive dunking and layup skills, I knew that this boy might have a great career in the NBA. Thats why, I had a chat with him.

How did you get into basketball ? Did you play other sports ?

I have got into basketball because I got inspired with how Derrick rose plays.

Who motivates you the most ? Friends, family, an NBA player or a coach ?

The one that motivates me the most is Derrick Rose.

Who are your 3 most favorite players in NBA ?

My 3 favorite players is Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin & Jerryd Bayless.

What team is your favorite ?

Chicago bulls is my favorite team.

What player do you want to play with sometime in NBA ?

I would like to play with the elite star. Which is, Derrick Rose

What kind of draft pick are you hoping for ?

I am hoping to be drafted on the 1st round 20 pick or higher.

You played in Memphis. Why did you play there?

I have played there since they have a fairly good chemistry.

How are your teammates ?

They play good, they share the ball always and no one plays selfish.

What is your biggest strength ?

My biggest strength are Mid Range shots

Out of Memphis, well I guess that's a guard tradition now, although Calipari isn't there anymore. Rose, Evans and now Alexander.

hova-, Maby, but I may not put him to the draft. I mean, I would rather give a chance to people that want to follow, not people who just make draftee and then want me to update about them while they aint following.

Also, you have no plans to join?

Everybody is in the 2011 draft right now !!! Mavs, Valdis, you both are not going to get cut, as you still visit this forum. If anybody is going to get cut "highly unlikely" then I will tell them.

I meant more like BD1899, as he has not been here for a month now. But you never know ;) Maby I aint cutting nobody.
