NBA GREEN WEEK: NBA Cares is promoting NBA Green Week this week and all players are encouraged to wear green accessories that are made from 100% recycled material. Some teams will also wear Green Alternate jerseys which are also made out of recycled material.
THE FACTS: The Spurs started out very tough allowing very little on defense, Tim Duncan was an important part of the Spurs defense in the paint. But the Clippers were able to stay close as they were able to easily get to the line and make free throws. Led by Blake Griffin, the Clippers were able to break away somewhat with a 8 point lead as their advantage in athleticism were becoming more clear. The second half started to show the Spurs age as the Clippers were running out on every play and extending their lead. But the Spurs would stay in the game, mainly with their veteran defense, which eventually allowed them to take the lead late in the 3Q and be up by 1 point to start the 4Q. The Clippers came back to retake the lead, but the Spurs were not yet out of it as they were fighting for their playoff lives. Soon the Spurs veteran pose outweighed the youthful Clipper reserves as Former Clipper Corey Maggette had a season high 28 points to lead the Spurs on a 15-6 run in the final moments of the game and seal the victory and inch the Spurs closer to the 8th spot in the West.
THE STAT: DeAndre Jordan had a career high and also a league high for the season with 9 block shots, add that to his 16 points and 15 rebounds making this his second almost triple-double night in a row
QUOTABLE: Tim Duncan, "This is the first time I've seen him up close and I have learned that all of the media is right. Blake is a really good basketball player."
HOT: Despite Tim Duncan and the Spurs tough interior defense, Blake Griffin was still able to have his way inside where he did most of his damage of 32 points
NOT: Manu Ginobili had a poor 1st half scoring 0 points and getting into foul trouble
GOOD MOVE: In some early offense, Baron Davis found a cutting Blake Griffin who threw down an alley-oop over Tim Duncan
BAD MOVE: Tim Duncan passes the ball to Tony Parker, who fumbles the ball and turns it over out of bounds
Injuries: N/A

NBA GREEN WEEK: NBA Cares is promoting NBA Green Week this week and all players are encouraged to wear green accessories that are made from 100% recycled material. Some teams will also wear Green Alternate jerseys which are also made out of recycled material.
THE FACTS: The last home game of the season, it was only fitting that Blake Griffin would dominate with a dunkfest and the Clippers would for the first time in their franchise history clinch the best record in the Pacific Division. The game started out looking to be an early blow out as the Clippers were looking for their revenge with a 12-2 start. Blake went 5-5 in the 1Q, which included a 3 pointer, to tally 12 early points. But it was Manu Ginobili, who struggled in their last game, lighting it up for the Spurs scoring 10 of his own, but he did it on 4-11 shooting. The Spurs got hot from deep as they used 3 pointer after 3 pointer to tie the game and even take the lead in the 2Q. The second half was a completely different story as the Clippers took control in the 3Q. In the end, Ginobili put up 35, both Maggette and Parker had 20 each to go along with Duncan's 16, but they could not overcome the constant Clipper attack lead by Blake Griffin.
THE STAT: The Clippers dominated the paint on both ends, scoring 76 points and recording 13 blocks
QUOTABLE: Baron Davis, "It feels good to know that we are on top. We made it!"
HOT: Blake Griffin put on a show for the fans of LA with a dunk fest in the final home game of the season hitting 14 of 16 from the field
NOT: Eric Bledsoe, who had been scoring regularly lately in the absence of Eric Gordon could not hit a shot tonight as he made his only 2 field goals in the 4Q to finish with only 6 points
GOOD MOVE: Late in the 4Q Blake Griffin throws down his only alley-oop before being subed out of the game, a final treat for the fans on the last home game of the season
BAD MOVE: George Hill fouled a jumpshooting Baron Davis with only 0.7 seconds left in the 3Q putting him on the free throw line and helping extend the Clippers lead to 10
Injuries: Tiago Splitter collided with Blake Griffin late in the game and hurt his knee, he was able to return to the game

GORDON CLEARED TO PLAY
The Clippers have released that Eric Gordon has been cleared to play and will be flying out on the road with the team for their final two games of the season. Sources say that Gordon could be healthy enough to start, but it will be a game time decision.
Ever since he injured his Achilles, Eric Gordon has been doing everything he could to recover and stay in shape to get back on the court as soon as possible. Sources say that he was pushing himself to return for the Clippers last game against the San Antonio Spurs for their last home game, but the medical staff thought it would be best for him to take the week off and rest since the Clippers didn't have another game during that time. The Clippers have made the playoff push with Gordon on the sidelines and now with him back they seemed posed to be getting ready just in time for the playoffs.

THE FACTS: Eric Gordon returned to his first game back since his injury about a month ago and to open the game he hit a corner 3 pointer. The Clippers looked to dominate the game early on, but Kevin Martin would not allow it as he scored 12 of the Rockets first 14 points in the 1Q. After a timeout the Clippers changed their game plan to one thing, STOP MARTIN! The Clippers then went on a 10-0 run. The Rockets started to get hot from deep hitting 3 of 3 early in the 2Q to trim the lead to 1, but an onslaught Clipper attack going 23-6 right after put the game into a blow out at halftime. The second half was pretty much garbage time the rest of the way. Yao Ming started getting hot as he finished with a game high 30 points, but other than he and Martin, the Rockets had no one else helping. This only made it easier for the Clippers to keep the blow out lead allowing it to grow as high as 23 points. The 4Q was a complete joke, for both teams really. The Clippers were told to run as much clock as possible to end the game sooner, but had poor execution and while the Rockets were piratically free to do as they wished on offense without much care from the Clippers, they continued to miss easy shots near the rim. Let's just say, when the final buzzer rang, everyone was happy that it was just over.
THE STAT: Clippers bench dominated 52 to 16
QUOTABLE: Eric Gordon, "I felt good, I've been with these guys in practice, but I really missed playing on the court."
HOT: Eric Gordon scored 25 points including 3 3Pointers in his first game back, he even threw down some vicious dunks that made the Clippers medical staff cringe at the risk of re-injury, but Gordon was fine
NOT: Aminu was ice cold to start the game going 0-6 in the 1Q and finished the game with 6 points on 3 of 11 shooting
GOOD MOVE: Baron Davis threw a perfect alley-oop pass to DeAndre Jordan from near half court
BAD MOVE: Eric Gordon started a split second to late as his last second slam dunk was waived off by the referees, though the dunk was nice, the replace clearly showed the ball still in his hands when the red lights went on
Injuries: N/A
