if im not mistaken the way the feds get the states to enforce age restrictions on tobacco/alcohol is tying compliance to other things.
So like "if you dont move your drinking age to 21, we'll no longer help keep your highways up"
i could be wrong and im sure benji will correct me here if I am but as of right now, every state is age 21 and any fight to lower it keeps failing miserably because the states cant foot the bill.
Also, alot of places have their own "get into bar" ages. SC you're technically supposed to be 21 to be in a bar, but in illinois in one town you had to be 19 and the other 18.
