Continuing to be impressed by Williams and the whole Cavs team. The Jamison angle is really interesting too, especially since he'll probably start declining soon. Looking forward to see how that trade talk plays out :)

Valdis, Well its so usual. Love is a beast always.

Houndy, Thanks ! Yeah, that Lewis dude seems pretty awesome :D Our matchup with Heat however is in February.

Grandmama Johnson, Thanks. Williams has been a beast, I love that our team is right behind him. Jamisons trade will be good, I have had some interesting offers.

Trade Talks

Postby Cruzerr on Mon May 09, 2011 2:29 pm

* Morning 10 AM *

*Tired* Who is it ? What you want ??

Hey Gilbert, its me, Byron, we got him.

What the fuck are you talking about ?

We got him ! You know, the guy that we have been talking to !

*Falls out of the bed* Your kidding ? Thats some great news ! That means Jamison is out ?

Yeah, he left a hour ago. He was pretty mad but I really do not care.

Well, can I talk to the boy ?

Get on over here then ! I am at the plaza.

*20 minutes later*

I am here ! Where is the man ?

Here I am sir Gilbert !

My boy, you are not going to regret this decision.

I hope not. If you play the way you are playing right now, then we could win some titles.

Excellent, now, lets sign the papers, shall we?

Yeah, the trade is done :)

The Huge Trade

Postby Cruzerr on Mon May 09, 2011 11:13 pm

The-Blake-Show is heading to Cleveland !

Image

As it has been confirmed, that a lot of teams have interest in a guy named Antawn Jamison, Cleveland have had some huge offers. While the offer they chose from was the one-man army, who is dominating everywhere : Blake Griffin. As now, Griffin will join the Cavs as Jamison will go to LA. Griffin himself said " It is great to join a team with much talent. I am looking forward to playing, as I will play my first game today, against the Nets. " Having somebody like Blake on the team is not bad, considering that this guy will have a huge impact of the playoff race in the East. Coach Byron Scott said : " Blake might give Wall a huge run for the Conference Rookie Of The Month award and he will be dominating to watch. I think we got the better part of this trade. "

On the other hand, the career season of Antawn is the main reason why most teams want him. He might have some age on his skin, but his playing for now is massive and continues to improve. " I think that Clippers is a good team and either way that it would have gone, I would be happy - whether it is leaving the team or staying. " Antawns first game however is not confirmed, but we will keep you updated. Coach Vinny Del Negro replied : " I think Antawn fits our team better than Blake. Not saying that he is bad, but we need more defensive stoppers and Jamison is just the man. "

Other trades that you suggested :

Jamison + Parker for Roy : Roy is a good player, but I have DeRozan, Parker and Eyenga in the Shooting Guard position. For a Point Guard, It would not have a point, when I have Davis and Sessions.

Jamison + Parker for Iggy + Speights : Iggy would have been good, but considering the Skill Level and The Age differential with Griffin, I had to go with Griffin. Also, I got the C position pretty much covered, so I had no need for Speights.

Jamison + Parker forGerald Wallace : Again, the age of Blake beats Gerald. He would not been bad, but I just do not need him. For an Small Forward spot, He would not been really helpful also, as I have 2 rising stars - T-Will and Greene

Jamison + Parker for Cousins and Jason Thompson: This would have been a huge trade, but the Kings would not give them both up.

I would add some first round picks and a young prospect to that deal, just to make it a little fair

Cruzerr, actually i think we were both talking about giving the Clippers more than just Jamison

like...

Jamison+2011 1st draft pick+2012 1st draft pick+a young guy.....maybe even throw in Hickson since Blake secures ur PF spot and u would still have Samuels/Erden/Haragoudy to back up, Blake would probably play the majority of the game meaning Hickson is going to get his minutes cut

by comparison your only giving up a has-been for a future star/superstar

Cruzerr, its okay....its ur association

plus...i blame Valdis anyways for the suggestion and getting 50 points

hahaha just kiddin...

what's done is done...u can always just float them the picks or other assets in another trade...or not. completely up to you

all-in-all....i'm excited to see Baron and Blake reunited (Y) ...plus u guys will definitely be title contenders now..meaning Blake a ring in year 1? WHAT? awesome...

Cavs @ Nets

Postby Cruzerr on Wed May 11, 2011 2:42 am

Mediocre first half ends with a career high for Blake as Cleveland wins Nets, season series 2-0

Image
Blake scored 8 in the first half, but finished with 30 and 11 rebounds.

Image

As Cleveland was coming off some huge things, like a win over the Timberwolves and acquiring Blake Griffin from a trade, the Nets however were coming off a loss against the Bobcats. As it would seem, that New Jersey would have a huge home court advantage, Blake Griffin came up big in the second half, which pretty much sealed the game.

Cleveland was having a good night. As Griffin had a double-double, Anthony Parker came up with 19 points and 3 steals. Some good play was also shown from J.J Hickson, who was in the shadow of Griffin, but managed to get 16 points and 5 blocks. Even though things went good for them, Terrence Williams injured his knee and left the game. He came back on the court and later said that : " I just have a sore knee, thats all. I will play with less aggression, but will still help the team for some points." Terrence went to have 14 points, as the same amount of Baron Davis scored. Griffin himself said : " Its a great team, the guys over here are great. It was sad to leave Clippers, but we will see how they will do about me. Playing with Baron again is also so good."

Image
Parker was 50% from the field, but 100% from the line - hitting 5-5

On the Nets sides, things were not the best. Their scoring leader and one of the best in scoring and assisting in the league, Deron Williams, finished with 21 points and 7 assists. He was tied with Outlaw, who got all of his points from downtown, hitting 7-7 from there. Another good player was Morrow, who stepped up with 19 points and a huge clutch fade-away 3 in the face, which sent the Nets in a 20-2 scoring run. Damion Jones, a rookie, had the same amount of points, with 7 rebounds as well. Nets were holding the sixth spot, as for now, their at the ninth spot. " I think that this team needs to rebuild some more. We are at the right direction and are having a better season than we did last year for sure." - commented Williams, who looks really happy in the Nets lineup, seeing that Jazz is dead last in the West.

Image
Derons play was killed by his turnovers, having 7 for the night.

Image
Outlaws time might be passing, but he is determined to have a good season.

Cleveland will go home to face the Hornets, while Nets will try to win in the Motor City of Detroit.

Now, I give you with utmost pleasure :

Image
Star and Flunk of the Night !

Star:Image
Blake Griffin - Do I really have to explain ? Having a career night is the best explanation I can give you.

Flunk:Image
Jason Maxiell - He had 1 point in 30 minutes of play. And how many rebounds ? 2

Hornets @ Cavs

Postby Cruzerr on Wed May 11, 2011 9:39 pm

Closely contested game ends up with a win for New Orleans.

Image
West had a double-double with 35 points and 10 rebounds.

Image

While Cleveland were coming home from a win against the Nets, Hornets were coming off a 2 game skid against both LA teams.Cavaliers did seem like the upper handed team, but with huge play from the starters, Hornets took the win but only by a fracture, securing their forth spot even more in the West.

Cleveland had a solid game. Their newly traded Blake Griffin had another double-double, this time with 28 points and 13 rebounds. Terrence Williams was behind him with 24 as he had the same minutes as Griffin. Other players did not step up so bad, but the likes of Parker and Baron had a solid game night. " Getting Blake does not mean that we will win everybody, it just means that we are harder to beat, and the Hornets did see it tonight. Now, we have to concentrate on our next game and hope that we will win that one. " - said Gilbert, who seems happy with the team. Blake himself said : " I am playing well in Cleveland and I think that this style of play is what they want from me. " Pretty much the top three in East are sealed in as both Pacers and Heat do not want to give their spot away.

Image
T-Will was perfect from downtown-hitting 2-2.

Image
Another great night for Griffin as he is the leader of this team.

Hornets on the other hand were hot. David West scored a season-high 35 points while Ariza was behind him with 25 points and 8 steals. Some great play was also shown from their star, CP3, who managed to get 22 points and 8 assists. Okafor almost had a triple-double, as he managed to get 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 blocks. Somehow, the number "8" was almost in everybody's stats. Chris Paul responded after the game : " I think this team is in the right direction. We are dominating and really want a better seed in the West. I guess we will see how things plan out." CP3 might be in talks of the MVP race, as his game is on fire, averaging a double-double.

Image
Ariza did have a good night, but his shooting was not good - hitting 9 out of 20.

Hornets will have their next matchup against the Pacers, while Cleveland will stay at home to face the Rockets.

Now, I present to you :

Image
Star and Flunk of the Night !

Star:Image
David West - A season high in scoring is just what the Hornets need to get one of the top seeds in the West.

Flunk :Image
Anderson Varejao - Having a hard time, scoring 4 points and getting 6 rebounds, is not what the Cavaliers want.

Tough loss for your Cavs. I would suggest to resize the pics. It takes some time to load them and if you want to have so many pics than they shouldn't be too big of a size. Rather make them smaller and put them next to each other.

to go along with that...
for a few large photos i use a 640x512 and then for the rest of the pictures i use 320x256

also a little hit when you use the ESPN portraits...u can adjust the sizes in the link. look at the end here is a part that says "&w=350&h=254" just change those numbers to what you want...w = width h = height
and if you want to make it proportional...u can just adjust one variable and delete the other
ex. "&w=200" the height will automatically adjust proportionally
