Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Hi guys, I just wanna know if it's possible to assign a personnal jersey for each player in a team (like Rooks & Sophs

).I really believe that it's possible. I just don't know how to do

. Can you give me tips please? thanks

It was possible with the way Custom Art worked in 2003 and 2004, not sure about 2005 though.

It's possible via a modified fsh file

here's a preview...

just remember that since the fsh file is for the player's cyberface, the player will use the same jersey on any game... and also it's jersey's numbers will depend on which team jersey you'll use.. for example, if you use the Bulls' away jersey for the team, it'll use the "black colored" number/s...
http://www.sendspace.com/file/w50lbtthis one got only the CF and jersey in it (the above image got the CF, jersey, tattoos, and shoe)... just rename the file for the specific player you want to apply it and import the graphics into the fsh file

I stand corrected, good to know.

I noticed just now that it seems the shoe texture doesn't work

(see preview above)

WOW ! Thanks a lot my fiend ! and it seems to be simple but i want to be sure. Do I have to download the file you've shared and use it as a base or can I use aby CF file and import graphics with the basic tools? (fshx, EAGE and BigGUI)
So, i realise that the limit for shoes is not 999? if I import a shoe in the fsh file this way, i'll be able to add a brand new shoe in my game ! am I wrong? that's nice

I'm guessing it would be easier if you used PhatGeezer's .fsh file as a base.
Tue May 03, 2011 12:36 pm
Well, I'm making everything easier for you as you see... but if you want to make your own fsh file all you have to do is get one that has 2 blobs in it (like the one the jersey's fsh files got) and edit the blobs' names thru FXEdit. Rename them "head" for the CF texture and "buni" for the Jersey texture. Open the edited fsh file on fshx and adjust both blob's resolution(256x256 for both but i prefer 512x512 for better quality)...
Regarding the shoe texture, I don't think it's working... as I've mentioned and if you take a look at the preview above, Derrick Rose doesn't use the shoe texture i put (he's wearing a white one instead of the one i put)

OK! thanks for the precisions! I was too excited that I couldn't see Derrick's shoes

! It's time for me to try it !

I can confirm this will also work in later versions of Live, thanks again for the info PhatGeezer.

Have you ever had any luck importing the number files for jerseys?
Thu May 12, 2011 10:38 pm
Yeah I believe this is the method they're using for those 2x jersey in Live 07/08 (thanks to Pdub and Jaosming

) Regarding the jersey numbers, I haven't tried it yet but it seems there'll be a problem regarding editing the number's size into the fsh file (can't find any strings in there that says "size" or "x axis/y axis"),but I don't know maybe somebody who understands those hex can do it... so the only way you can put a number on the jersey is put it on the buni's texture and make the number files transparent on that team's jersey viv file.

Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking of perhaps using this method for the Live Jam mods, giving the "boss" players their individual retro jerseys to wear but without the numbers the effect won't be perfect. Still might be able to work though, I'll keep it mind and experiment a bit when I have the time. Thanks again for the info and example file.

It'll be easier if you want to do that on Live 07/08 all you have to do is import the buni texture on the numbers since they're not like in 05/06 which the numbers are into just one fsh file.. I believe BAYAG did it on his mod back then and Jaosming on his Street mods
Fri May 13, 2011 1:33 am
Ah OK. Basically the same procedure, then?
Fri May 13, 2011 1:51 am
you don't need that file (the modified CF fsh) anymore, all you have to do is get a 2x jersey viv file and extract the number file (of that player you want to have a custom jersey on) from it. Once you extracted the number file, import the buni in it and then put it back on that viv file. Do the same procedure on the other numbers that you'll use for your players.

Ah yes, I remember that method being mentioned. Since there are some duplicate numbers, I might have to do some renaming and assign them to numbers in the 80s/90s. Thanks once again.
Fri May 13, 2011 2:13 am
No problem man

and goodluck to that mod you're working
Fri May 13, 2011 2:15 am
Thanks, I've actually got v1.0 of Live Jam out for NBA Live 2005 through 08 but I'd like to update the rosters and add some more special players in the not too distant future.
Fri May 13, 2011 2:24 am
I see... that's great news since this section doesn't have that much mods nowadays... again goodluck on everything on that mod and on this forum
Fri May 13, 2011 9:35 am
Thanks. The 2005 version didn't turn out quite as well as the 06-08 versions since Freestyle Superstars can really be boosted for some great arcade-style gameplay, but the 2005 version plays a decent game of arcade-style basketball.
Fri May 13, 2011 11:34 am
Well... that's the disadvantage of 05 to the later releases... AIACT can be edited though, wish Seushiro is still around for that... anyway, if you want to include my mods here in 05 feel free to use it
Fri May 13, 2011 3:38 pm
That'd be great, appreciate it.
