THE FACTS: This is the first game since the big trade early in the season that the Clippers had a different starting lineup. Nick Young has returned for the Clippers and was put in the starting role in place of Eric Gordon. The new lineup really showed as the Clippers started slow missing on their first 4 FG. While the Clippers struggled, it was Nick Young stepping up along with Blake Griffin to carry the scoring load. In the 2Q, when Blake Griffin got into foul trouble, it was Craig Smith stepping up with 9 points in the first half. Offense was not sharp for either team as both missed contested shots and there were many rebounds and blocks on both ends. The game was tied most of the half, until a 3-point-play by J.R. Smith and then a 4-point-play later by Danilo Gallinari helped to give the Nuggets the lead going into halftime. The Nuggets looked to control the game in the 3Q, but Nick Young took over the scoring load to keep the Clippers in the game. An offensive foul on Blake Griffin midway though the quarter forced him to sit down giving the Nuggets the perfect opportunity to take advantage. Instead of the Clippers losing control, they bound together and made defensive stops and scored the basket to tie the game at the end of the quarter. The undermanned Clippers took the momentum into the 4Q growing a lead as much as 7 points. Eventually however, the Nuggets lead by a pair of J.R. Smith 3 pointers were able to regain the lead. Blake Griffin had returned and was playing well, but the Clippers looked to be in trouble. With less that 5 minutes left in the 4Q, Blake Griffin was called for his 5th and final foul, being the second player to foul out, Chris "Birdman" Andersen being the first and the Nene would foul out soon after Griffin. Again, instead of collapsing, Nick Young took control of the game and broke his career high with a game tying basket after consecutive defensive stops by the Clippers. After another defensive stop, Young had a chance to win the game but his jumper came up short and the game went into overtime. In overtime, the Clippers completely took control out scoring the Nuggets 20 to 12, and they did it without Blake Griffin or Eric Gordon.
THE STAT: The Clippers struggled scoring, but kept the game close by shooting 84% FT in the second half compared to the Nuggets 66%
QUOTABLE: Prince, "In the end, they just wanted it more. They had so much energy that we just couldn't match it."
HOT: After being away from the team, in Nick Young's first game back and first as a starter for the Clippers, he scored a career high 41 points
NOT: After rookie Eric Bledsoe scored a career high 23 points in their last game, he struggled in this one with only 3 points on 1 for 10 shooting, with his only made shot being in the 4Q
GOOD MOVE: With the game close in the 2Q, Wilson Chandler fouled his former teammate Danilo Gallinari on a 3 point shot attempt, Gallinari made the basket and converted the FT for a rare 4-point-play
BAD MOVE: Eric Bledsoe was late to close out on Raymond Felton and he made him pay by blowing by him, Bledsoe lost his balance and fell to the floor
Injuries: J.R. Smith twisted his ankle in the 1Q but returned in the 2Q to score 7 points, including a 3-point-play to break a tie late in the half as well as a pair of 3 pointers to re-take the lead in the 4Q

THE FACTS: With the Bucks loosing John Salmons for the rest of the season and then Carlos Delfino and Chris Douglas-Roberts within the past week, the former face of the Bucks Michael Redd was set to start. The Clippers, led by Baron Davis started of hot by playing defense and getting in transition. The Bucks however would get back into the game by playing tough defense, especially in the half court. Blake Griffin did not get many good looks in the first half, having only a put back dunk as his only FG in the 1Q before having to sit with foul trouble. With Blake not being an impact, Baron continued his strong play leading the Clippers to a 17-6 run in the final minutes of the 2Q to be up by 10 points going into halftime. In the 2nd half, Michael Redd erupted for 12 points and lead the Bucks to a 2 point lead going into the 4Q, while Blake would get his 4th foul. After a defensive stop the Clippers had a chance to tie with 7 seconds left, but Ron Artest got back in transition to poke the ball away. The 4Q went back and forth on the offensive end until a 14-4 run by the Clippers put them up by 8, but it was at the cost of Blaken getting his 5th foul. Baron Davis did not let the team get down as he continued the run increasing the lead to as high as 13. Baron would get called of his own 5th foul with around 4 minutes left in the game, but VDN decided to keep him out with Blake to ensure the Bucks don't start another run. Baron would foul out about 1 minute later, but the Clippers still had an 8 point lead. The Bucks would get within 1 point, but a slam dunk followed by a defensive stop allowed the Clippers to pull away with a 5 point win after a pair of made free throws.
THE STAT: Baron Davis got his 2nd highest point total of the season (26) and tied his season high in steals (5)
QUOTABLE: Baron on Blake recently foul trouble struggles, "I just keep telling him...You just have to keep playing, ignore the refs, ignore the calls. Just keep playing and everything will work itself out."
HOT: Michael Redd scored 12 of his 23 points in the 3Q to give the Bucks a 2 point lead going into the 4Q
NOT: Former Clipper Keyon Dooling was 0 for 5 in 14 minutes of play and had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2:3
GOOD MOVE: With the Clippers only up by 1 point, Blake Griffin blew by Andrew Bogut and threw down a monster slam dunk in traffic to give the Clippers a much needed 3 point lead with only 15 seconds left in the game
BAD MOVE: Baron Davis owns Earl Boykins, little man and former Clippers Earl Boykins' 3point attempt was blocked by Baron Davis, with his forearm!
Injuries: Another Buck goes down, Luc Richard Mbah A Moute will be out with a sever sprained ankle after a play where fellow teammate Larry Sanders went up for a put back dunk, but caused LRMAM to land awkwardly and roll his ankle

THE FACTS: Nothing much to say here, but the obvious, the Clippers completely dominated the game. The Wizards shooting was hot early on, missing only 1 of their first 5 shots, but the only problem was the Clippers were even hotter and hot from the 3 point line. The Wizards never recovered, think of it as pay back for when the Clippers lost in Washington. Blake Griffin had a breakout game after scoring 19 points in the first half and finished with a game high 27 points, he also did this without playing a single minute in the 4Q. On defense, DeAndre Jordan was a beast with 13 rebounds and 6 block shots, 1 short of tying his career high set earlier this season. For the Wizards, Allen Iverson just kept on scoring and John Wall even had a near triple-double, but none of it was enough to withstand the slaughter the Clippers put on.
THE STAT: After leading by 11 in the 1Q, the Clippers' lead never shrunk to lower than 20 points in the 2nd half
QUOTABLE: Q-Rich, "The fans in LA are just as loud as I remember them. They are really having fun this year and you can see it in how the team (Clippers) are playing."
HOT: Despite his team losing and his own poor shooting night, John Wall almost recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists, 9 rebounds
NOT: Former Clipper Q-Rich was 0 for 3 in 7 minutes of play in his first game back in Staples Center this season
GOOD MOVE: Clippers owning a 2 on 3 fast break, Baron Davis threw a perfect lob over the fingertips of Josh Howard and Andray Blatche to Blake Griffin who dunked all over John Wall
BAD MOVE: Blake Griffin went up for a layup, but JaVale McGee fouled him hard from behind - basically pushing him in the back. Griffin did not like it and quickly turned around and stared down McGee. After the two were held apart, the referees issued a double technical on both players.
Injuries: N/A
