Which is just flat out wrong, given that you're committed to going wherever you're going
before you take off (and often, it seems that you have to be there merely before contact, not even before takeoff, which is worse). They need to get rid of the charge arc (or at least move it so it's actually under the basket like it's supposed to be) and force defender's to be there before the offensive player commits.

That's what I don't like about that call, he jumps out of the restricted area at the last possible second, basically advancing on Griffin. That's far too lenient towards the defender for my liking, to me that's a blocking foul or a non-call.

I completely changed my mind. I was looking at it on my phone before and just now saw it in fullscreen and in HD. Gortat was NOT established and actually put his right foot down when Blake was already planted to take off.

Bulls had an outstanding first half against the Hawks. Surely - surely - they can't let this one slip away. Some spectacular plays all around and they're just shooting the lights out. I can't imagine it's much fun to watch if you're a Hawks fan or an impartial fan wanting to see a close game but for a Bulls fan, it was very entertaining.

Bulls are one of the best defensive teams in the league, good job by chicago.

How do the Atlanta Hawks have 40 wins? Just like last year, the Hawks are looking more and more like a D-League All-Star team around playoff time. Seriously, they suck right now. I know Rose and Deng are raping all opposition right now, but still, down 40 points with a full quarter left? Bad.

Rose with a career high in 3 pointers, knocking down 6 of 8 through 3 quarters. Although, with a 38 point lead, that's probably where it ends. he's been absolutely superb, as has Deng. And C.J. Watson's insane reverse...

Second half against the Kings: 68 points.
First half against the Hawks: 72 points.
Not bad for an average offensive team.

Sounds like I made the right call. The selection of games here has been rather subpar recently.

I would mention that both teams currently play like D-League teams, but now with the Bulls leading by 43, I think that would be rating the Hawks too highly.
Dan's Brain wrote:Not bad for an average offensive team.
I definitely wouldn't call them an average offensive team now. These guys are near the top in both defense and offense as of late. (last few weeks)
Bulls now winning by 47. Kind of sad when one team is even dominating in uber-garbage time.

Looks like the Bulls are just going to hold on again. Tough night for the Hawks, but Teague's getting to strut his stuff at the moment.

WOW
What a battle: Los Angeles.
Totally wasn't expecting for the Suns to make a comeback, but now in OT...
Fucking awesome game.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frye hits 3 key free throws and we might go into 2nd OT.
Kobe not so clutch in this game so far.
Yes... 2nd OT.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:29 pm
Still plenty of time left but the Lakers are starting to gain momentum and the Suns are looking a bit tired. Great game.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:35 pm
Looks like it could be 3 OT's now after the free throw made by Gasol.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:35 pm
Haha. Thought the Suns won it when Kobe lost the control but a great last second pass to Gasol and we are looking at 3 OT.
Yes, 3OT now.
Every time Lakers were pulling away, the Suns answered right back to steal the game but then Lakers didn't let it get away.
See-saw battle. Loving it.

Third overtime. Wow.

omfg... Grant Hill's last foul(6th) was a joke. Kobe got a typical superstar call...
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:49 pm
Lakers by 5 because of Ron Artest.

Now by 2 because of Channing Frye's 3.

Looks like Artest has given them the game. Still over a minute left but the Suns seem to be running out of steam.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:51 pm
Channing hit 3 and back within 2. Hell yeah. Rofl...
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:53 pm
Kobe scores his 32nd point with 14.2 seconds left
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:54 pm
Poor clock management by the Suns in the final couple of possessions. Lakers will take it.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:55 pm
Lakers win! Kobe actually had 42 and not 32. My bad
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:55 pm
All done. Good heart by the Suns, but the Lakers are terrifying right now. Kobe bringing his Finals face back in the final minute there.
Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:58 pm
Great game. I still have a gut feeling that Grant Hill's last foul was a game changer.

was gonna turn off the TV when LAL was up by 19 in 3rd but glad stuck around. 3s after 3s and before u know it, the Suns were up but the lal regrouped and won them a game.
What sucks for the Suns is that they have to fly all the way to TOR tonight and play a game tomorrow. Fatigue should be a factor but then they're playing against craptors...
Wed Mar 23, 2011 4:00 pm
That was odd by the Suns, but also odd of Kobe to take that shot when he could have dribbled the clock out. Put it away nonetheless.
