MOST COMPETITIVE GAME OF THE SEASON



THE FACTS: This was one of the most competitive games of the season for the Los Angeles Clippers as the two teams never trailed by more than 5 points. This game was a complete shootout as the Blazer connected on 11 3pointers while the Clippers made 9. Most of the game the Blazers, lead by Wesley Matthews off the bench, kept fighting the Clippers off from making a run with their 3 point shooting. The game came down to the wire and the Blazers hit the final shots to extend their streak to 5 wins, while the Clippers have lost 3 in a row.

THE STAT: Wesley Matthew killed the Clippers again and did it coming off the bench, scoring 38 points in 33 minutes

QUOTABLE: Wesley Matthew, "Coach McMillian just asked me to go out there and make shots, I ran the plays and the ball went in."

HOT: Wilson Chandler's game returned as he found his shooting stroke once again, hitting 4-6 from deep to go toward his 22 points

NOT: Nick Young returned in this game and had an awful 16 minutes with only 1 point, he shot 0-6 FG, 0-2 3PT, and 1-2 FT

GOOD MOVE: The Clippers were down 4 in the final seconds of the 2Q when Eric Gordon hit a 3 and the buzzer to put the Clippers behind by only 1 point going into the half


BAD MOVE: Any play by Nick Young...

Injuries: After the game, the Clippers have reported that DeAndre Jordan has hurt himself in this game, he is diagnosed with Sore Knees but is not expected to miss any games

VDN goes to the Hospital to pick up KidJustin

VDN, "Hi, I'm here to pick up KidJustin..."

Nurse, "Okay, just a moment"

The Nurse talks on the phone...

Nurse, "What? No, No...No, how can that be?"

VDN, "Is there a problem?"

Nurse, "Uhm...It seems that KidJustin is missing!"

VDN, "WHAT!? WHERE IS HE!!???"

8 Hours earlier

KJ, "who...who's there...?"

Thierry Tirieux is sitting on a chair next to KidJustin's bed.

KJ, "What are you doing here?"

TT, "You lied..."

TRAGIC INJURY FOR WILDCATS



Kentucky Wildcat's star point guard and 2011 NBA Draft prospect Patrick "The Free Man" Freeman was severely injured yesterday in their match against NC State.

Freeman was cutting thought the lane toward the basket where he met the wrong end of Zee Otoo's elbow. Otoo went up to challenge the shot when an accidental elbow struck Freeman in the head.

Freeman immediately collapsed and the game was stopped. Kentucky medial staff quickly rushed to Freeman, who was laying on the ground not moving. After Freeman was taken off the court in a stretcher and the referees had assessed what had happened, Zee Otoo was ejected from the game.

The game would resume without the team's two stars, but a disheartened Wildcat team would fall against the Wolfpack 104-89.

Freeman was taken to the hospital where the doctors have reported that he is stable, but currently in a coma. The Wildcats other freshman point guard, Brandon Knight will step in for Freeman who will most likely be out for the season and maybe longer.

While the incident was horrific, it was also accidental and Zee Otoo will not be punished further.

THE FACTS: This game was close from the opening tip. With Eric Gordon not scoring as efficiently and Amar'e Stoudemire in foul trouble, Blake Griffin (53 points) and Carmelo Anthony (45 points) were the spotlights in Los Angeles. Chancey Billups showed he has a part with the big two of the Knicks by hitting clutch 3 after clutch 3. But in the end the Clippers dug deep and won the game. Here are the final moments:

CLIPPERS PREP FOR 9 GAME ROADTRIP

The Clippers have sent rookie Willie Warren to the D-League affiliate team, Bakersfield Jam. Warren is the first Clipper every to be sent to the D-League. The common thought in the organization is that prospects would benefit more in the development of NBA practices with the team and NBA staff rather than D-League practices and games.

Because of the Clippers 9 game road trip this month, the Clippers will not have a lot of time to hold practices, in which case it would be better for Warren to get his reps with the Jam until the team returns to Los Angeles after the All-Star Weekend.


The Clippers have also waived Jerry Stackhouse. Stackhouse played a few games for the team while both bench swingmen, Nick Young and rookie Al-Farouq Aminu, were out with injuries. Young has already returned into the lineup despite showing some rust, while Aminu has been cleared by doctors and has been practicing with the team. Aminu is expected to be flying with the team on their roadtrip and there is a good chance he will play limited minutes in Memphis.

Coach VDN made these decision as acting GM while the investigation on KidJustin's whereabouts are still being conducted.
