With the Nets somehow beating the Celtics, the Bulls are TIED FOR FIRST. With the Wizards visiting tomorrow.

So, the obvious conclusion is......

That Washington's paltry road record will improve slightly.

Surely not; they've survived us picking them against some pretty tough opponents at home and on the road this season and right now they're on a roll, so I say let's give in to optimism. ;) That game's being shown here on One HD, too.

I believe it will be an easy win for the Bulls.I just can't find a reason it won't.In any other case Chicago would have won by many points,so why not now that we're going to pass Boston as well for the 1st seed in the East!!

Good teams do lose to bad teams in games where the result seems like a foregone conclusion; that's what Dan was getting at. Hopefully they'll be on their game and it won't be one of those times.

preferred- Pacers, Miami, Boston
least- Philly, Orlando, Boston

the Heat have won a few straight so i guess supposedly they have their mojo back. i don't think that matters unless Coach Spo can change his offensive schemes against top defenses

a little worrisome about Orlando is that Howard is the only bigman on a playoff team, sans Pachulia, who will give Rose a potentially injury inducing foul.

for rivalry sakes- Bulls vs Boston ECF would be great

not sure if i feel old but i definitely appreciate those bulls team more.

I wanted to go to the Utah game but tix for the 300 section were going for $300. lol ridiculous. i was checking all week. i did have tix for the Atlanta game. i was pretty impressed with the UC crowd. you can't tell on the TV broadcast but it does get loud at the UC. for the starting lineups, you couldn't hear the PA announcer once he said "from Chicago...".

looking at the Bulls soft sched the rest of the way- they have a legit shot the #1 spot. if the bulls continue to hang in there- maybe a veteran team like Boston opts for rest instead of homecourt throughout the EAST??

I would say Orlando should be an easier foe for the Bulls(actually for any teams) though. But then it's somewhat understandable as Rose will probably will have hard time penetrating only to be greeted by Dwight under the paint and as your bigs don't really pose a threat against Dwight.

I look forward for MIA to meet CHI in the second round as well. PHI - CHI - BOS - SAS I think will be the path for the Heat to the ring.

It got a little ugly in the second quarter but another win in the books and a half game lead for the top seed in the East. It was probably Bogans' finest game as a Bull, too. McGee was just blocking shots left and right for the Wizards, stopping what would've been a few easy layups by Rose. Back on the road now, hopefully they can keep rolling against the Nets and Pacers to break the 50 win mark.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Grats on taking over the top spot in East. I was amazed how unselfish Bulls play. Bogans played surprisingly well too. His shots were falling from downtown. Overall, the Bulls were taking open shots while WAS was forcing the offense. McGee's frustration was apparent near the end of the game, hanging onto a rim which got him a technical.

Anyways... great team effort by the Bulls tonight.

Another great game by the Bulls. Deron totally got abused by Rose and team D. Perfect example of good team effort on both ends by the Bulls.

Make it eight in a row for win number 49, tying their highest win total since the last championship season. They've got a good shot at making it ten in a row, too.

Pippen is also set to be honoured with a bronze bust to be unveiled during halftime of the Celtics game on April 7th. What else can you say but any such honour is well-deserved and it's great to see Pip get his due. (Y)

Well-deserved for Pippen. :)

Great, great, great game by Asik. I look forward to the day when we're discussing his bronze bust being put in at the United Center

very well deserved for Scottie, though.

Hmmmm. That was a pretty ok offensive performance.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Tue Mar 22, 2011 9:27 pm

Yeah, they just managed to eke that one out. ;) That puts them at the 50 win mark for the first time since 1998; looks like it'll be a close race with Boston to finish the season.

Huge win over the kings!Really a payback for that embarrassing loss last season.
Looking forward to today's game against Atlanta.Hopefully a win to keep up with Boston on the race 2 the first seed!

Just a dominant win over the Hawks, the first half truly was a clinic. Great play all around and some spectacular plays to boot, that reverse by Watson in particular.

Close call against the Grizzlies, but they gutted it out. With Boston's loss to the Bobcats, they're a couple of games in front for the top seed in the East. (Y)

Ugh. Not at all convincing, but you take them when you get them. It's just further proof of how vital home court advantage is going to be for the Bulls. Thank Science that Rose was able to hit his free throws, they would have been screwed otherwise.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Hopefully they've got it together tomorrow in Milwaukee.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Mar 27, 2011 6:43 pm

Another close call but a great run in the final minutes to snag victory from the jaws of defeat. They're starting to pull away with the lead for the top seed, though I'd say Boston will pull closer again with a win over Minnesota tomorrow.

Great pass from Rose, one of his career high 17 assists:

Thought the Bulls were gonna lose but Rose just streaked the last few minutes of the quarter. Excellent finish.

On the bright side Rose picked up the double double which could help his MVP case. 32 points 10 Turnovers.
