Actually it is a bald spot caused by a stress disorder that Sheed has, that is why it is big sometimes and hardly noticable other times.

that really doesn't sound right. there is always hair there its just discolored.

Actually its a BirthMark and thats why its that color from his birthmark, i know a few people with the same deal
