Rose and Deng take the spotlight
Chicago Bulls (5-1) @ Los Angeles Lakers (6-1) Nov. 21
Image
Rose and Deng had great nights; Deng was getting open looks and took many 3-pointers. Rose was always able to find Deng open, and Rose also got open a lot, which helped him get 28 points, and 9 assists. Boozer got of too a slow start, but managed to finish with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Gasol had a bad rebounding game, but came out with 26 points and 2 blocks. Bynum lead the team in rebounds (11), he also had a double-double. Brown got into foul trouble early and missed many of his shots due to frustration. Bulls pulled away in the 2nd half due to Boozer getting points, and Deng and Rose hitting their shots. Bulls shot 55% from downtown, and the Lakers had 32 assists. Lakers bench didn’t contribute today like Phil Jackson wanted them to. Lakers tried to pull back in the 4th quarter, letting Gasol shoot the ball every time. Bulls finally pulled away as Rose had an and-1 lay-up sealing the game in a 99-90 win for his team. Blake is continuing to find his teammates, but Phil is not happy because he also turned the ball over 6 times. Watson came out and had a perfect night shooting 4-4 from the field. Next week the Lakers take on the Bucks, and the Kings at home, and look to end their losing streak.

"The Truth" forces Lakers into a 2-game losing streak
Milwaukee Bucks (1-3) @ Los Angeles Lakers (6-2) Nov. 23
Image
“The Truth” acted like a 1st round 4th pick player tonight, as he had 21 points and 10 boards. Bogut also contributed with 12 points, 10 boards, and an amazing 5 blocks. Gasol matched up to Gooden and did better as he scored 32 points, 11 boards, and had 3 blocks. Brown also was pumped and scored 19 points shooting 66% from beyond the arc. 6 players on the Bucks had 12+ points. Lakers would lose this game 90-89 continuing their losing streak to 2 losses. Bucks really took advantage of the fact that the Lakers only scored 18 points. After the first quarter the Buck just kept on scoring mercilessly. Lakers committed to many fouls, and the Bucks took advantage converting their free throws. Salmons shot the lights out, and also had 2 steals. Gooden decided to seal the game in the 2nd half. He had 14 of his 21 points in the 2nd half. Blake had 11 assists and got an O.K. from Phil Jackson notifying that he is glad that Blake didn’t have as many turnovers. Lakers now are on a 2-game losing streak, and will face the Kings on Nov. 26th.

Lakers win, now 7-3
Sacremento Kings (2-6) @ Los Angeles Lakers (6-3)
Image
Kings got off to a fast start this game, as RotY Tyreke Evans scored 12 points in the first quarter, and got 3 well-earned steals. Garcia showed the defensive side of his game as he got 4 blocks, which were all on Brown. Odom had 15 points and shot 3-4 from downtown, leading the Lakers to a 74-68 win. Gasol also messed around and got a double-double with 14 points, and 13 boards. Lakers took advantage of the 4th quarter, getting many late-game shots to go in. Kings struggled in the 4th quarter only getting 8 points. Lakers shot excellent from the free throw line. Evans shot perfect from downtown making 4-4 3-pointers. Artest had an off game with only 7 points, and 3 turnovers. Lakers win this game in a close battle, but pulled away due to their defense and rebounding ability. Now that the Lakers are 7-3, they hope to finish the month with a solid 8-3 record to take the top spot in the Pacific Division.

Fisher’s first night back
Los Angeles Lakers (7-3) @ Milwaukee Bucks (3-4)
Image
Brown started off in the first quarter with 7 points, and never looked back, as he ended up with 23. Artest also hit 4 threes in the 2nd half, where every point mattered. Gasol and Bynum had nice double-doubles. Redd had 3 steals and 20 points to go with it. Gooden had a double-double, and Jennings had 11 assists, 15 points, and managed to shoot the game-winning 3-pointer. Gasol and Bynum did what they usually do and got 8 blocks. Bogut seems to be having a nice season coming back from his injury, and he still gets a lot of blocks (5). Lakers had a hard time from stopping CDR, and Salmons from driving the lane, and gave up way too many open looks. Fisher scored 7 points on his night back, and had 10 assists. Lakers will soon face the Bulls on Dec. 1st.

That lost against the Bucks and Jennings must have been a heart breaker. Tough luck, but going 7-4 without Kobe is pretty darn good.

Thanks, I left Jennings open because he was having an off night, but he had to hit it at the right time. I hope I continue with at least a .500 record to maybe grab a hold on the 8th spot in the playoff race. :cheeky:

Edit: Going on Hiatus because I got bad grades, and I am going to work really hard. I'll prob need like 1-2 weeks off.

I like the Lakers a lot better without Kobe, sorry to see this go on hiatus.

Also, the top scorers on free throw % ? I think that was supposed to be three ponit percentage?

Even then, Wallace and Rondo are unlikely picks.
