Alright, some momentum!

6-8 is very respectable for this young Clips team. It's starting to mirror the real-life turnaround.

GAME THREE

Image

Another player dropping 40 on Clippers

Image

LA,we have a problem. The Clippers are one of the best teams in both FG and 3PT % in the last 10 games, but their defense is awful.Vince Carter is the 5th player dropping 40 or more points against them. That was his best game in years. He also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists to his 40 points. The last time he scored 40 or more was when Magic beat the Hornets on the 8th of february last season. He scored 48 then.
The key to the Suns success was their perfect 3rd quarter. They won it 34 to 22.They played great defense on Eric Gordon in this quarter and he finished with 7 TO's.
At the end of the game the Clippers had their chance but they didnt have the time.Nash scored a 3-pointer for 113 to 110 Suns. Then he stole the inbound pass and tried to score the game tying three but he missed it.
Blake Griffin and Eric Bledsoe showed why the Clippers must be happy and sure about their future.Griffin made another great performance with 32 points,5 rebounds and 8 assists in only 32 minutes.Bledsoe added 18 points,2 rebs and 2ast.Steve Nash finished with 20 points,6ast and 3 stl.

GAME THREE

Clippers end their 4 game losing streak in L.A. Showdown

Image

With the Clippers currently on a 4 game losing streak, they had to renew their rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers in the Staples Center. The Lakers who are led by the current scoring leader,Kobe Bryant standing at 30.5ppg,were first in the Conference before this game with a 15-6 record. The Lakers were totally shocked in the first minutes. The Clippers made an amazing run of 14-2 and the increased it to 20-8.
They were looking like a reborn team, not the team that played last times against the Blazers and the Kings.
Los Angeles tried to comeback in the next quarters with some great plays from Kobe and Andrew Bynum,at one point the game was tied but the perfect play from the Clippers wouldnt let the Lakers take the lead.Eric Gordon score 14 of his 20 points in the 2nd quarter.LAL started double teaming Blake Griffin but he was passing the ball to the outside and Nash and Gordon were like archers from out there.
Blake Griffin did something amazing for a rookie. He finished with 33points alongside 10 rebounds,5 assists and 2 steals, which is amazing first because he's rookie and secondly because it is against the Lakers who are the reigning champs.
Eric Gordon added 20 points and 6 assists.
For the LA Lakers,Kobe was the highscorer again with 29.Andrew Bynum finished with a nice double double - 18pts,17 rebounds.

YAHOO!'s photo of the night

Eric Gordon turns posters into something normal. The famous dunker,Shannon Brown got posteriiiiiizzed.

WEEK 8

GAME ONE

Image

Eric Gordon led the Clippers to an OT victory over Orlando

Image

That was definitely a game for the ages.We watched an amazing game showing us one of the most perspective teams in the NBA.The former NBA finalists from Orlando Magic against the young LA Clippers team. Also Blake Griffin versus Dwight Howard, the future and the most dominant center in the league right now.Its interesting that the two bigmans were left apart. The eye this game was on Eric Gordon, who earlier this year set a career high in points with 41.
This day was Gordon's day.He was unstoppable at both ends collecting steals on defense and scoring on offense. He also probably made the dunk of the year as you can see on the pic.He nearly jumped over Gilbert Arenas.
Eric Gordon finished the game with the amazing 48 points. He scored 8 three pointers. One of them was the game tying at the end of the 4th quarter when the Clippers were down by 3.He nailed it with 5 seconds left.Hedo Turkoglu couldnt seal the win for the Magic. That was also the first time when Gordon took the MVP chants. In the 3rd quarter he was on the FT line and the whole building was yelling "M V P,M V P".
To his magnificent 48,Gordon added 5 rebounds,4assits and 5 steals.
Blake Griffin added 28 points,11 rebounds and 4 assists.Steve Nash got 13points,5 rebounds and 8 assists.
Great game for the Orlando Magic played Jason Richardson who scored 37 points.Gilbert Arenas finished with 24 and 14 assists.

GAME TWO

Clippers win in Philadelphia despite poor start

Image

Eric Gordon - 20pts,2 assists,2 steals
Blake Griffin - 18pts,13rebs,1blk
Steve Nash - 17pts,2reb,9ast

GAME THREE

35 year old Steve Nash helps LA earns its 5th straight

Image

Steve Nash - 33pts,4reb,11ast
Al-Farouq Aminu - 17pts,4reb
Eric Gordon - 15pts,2reb,1stl

GAME FOUR

Derrick Rose drops 31,ends Clippers streak

Image

Eric Gordon - 22pts,2ast,4stl
Blake Griffin - 15pts,12reb,2stl

That's a lot of trades already. I'm a Tyson Chandler fan, love him so that's a cool pickup. If you can stay around .500 all season long and maybe have a run in the end you could very well find yourself creeping in as a 7th or 8th seed. Good luck!
