Nice article. (Y)

I have a feeling that the Lakers are going to flop and be disbanded...

The senile alcoholic :D Exactly what I think of him. He's a revolutionist though, let's see how Minny's doing.

For me personally, I'm really looking forward to what your Clippers can do. This team can be everything from 6th seed to 25% chance for the first pick.

Jared Dudley as the starting 2 in Phoenix is an abomination.

2011 Pre-Season In Review

Image
Baron Davis dunks for the first time in eight years.

October 25, 2011 - The first pre-season with 5 minute quarters concluded last night with a 64-54 Clippers defeat at the hands of Don Nelson's Timberwolves... Thankfully, we weren't the only casualty of Nellieball, as Golden State enjoyed a 6-2 pre-season.

The pre-season started off quite encouragingly, with a 41-36 over the Miami Cheat. Unfortunately, this was followed up by a loss in Toronto to the Craps, then a loss against Memphis. We would go on to finish with a 3-5 record. Subpar yes, but the Lakers finished 2-6! Shows how important pre-season is...

Blake Griffin was clearly our MVP in pre-season, averaging 11 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Eric Gordon led us in scoring with 12 points a game, and Ramon Sessions was our top bench player with 7 points and 2 assists an outing. In the a 50-41 victory over Portland, Griffin broke his nose, but it did not keep him out of any games, and his mask has just come off. He will start against the Wolves in our regular season opener.

Looks like we have the Cheat's number!!! | Thierry reportedly already wants out of New York...

Dramatic irony in that first picture, Griffin watching someone else dunk (Y)

There are a few vids out there where Blake Griffin is watching someone else (DeAndre Jordan) dunk for the Clips.

Should've been more specific and said Baron Davis instead of someone else  Normally it's the other way isn't it? Baron throwing a pass n watching Blake slam it in (Y)

Halftime.

The Minnesota Timberwolves used a huge second quarter to open up an 11 point lead over our Clippers at the half. Michael Beasley and Wesley Johnson lead the visiting Wolves with 11 points apiece. Blake Griffin has 12 points and 6 boards for our side, but has shot a Shaq-esque 4-11 from the free throw line. Once again, at halftime, the Timberwolves lead it, 58-47. Stay tuned for the second half!

Pretty bad. I also lost my first game against the Wolves ... you know my record now (28 wins). Good that Griffin is playing like IRL (12 and 6). Sad to see Griffin play like IRL (4-11 FT)

Eric Gordon went off in the second half against Don Nelson's famous D.

Behind Gordon's 35, Clippers Pull Out Comeback Win In Opener

November 5, 2011 - CLIPPERS WIN! CLIPPERS WIN! After being down double digits to a perennial lottery team at home at the half, it looked like it was going to be yet another llllloooonnnngggg year. Then, not amazing, but Eric Gordon happened.

The first half was rather brutal. Despite not playing a lick of D, we took a narrow lead after the first quarter. This caught up to us in the second. We failed to stop the Wolves' dubious offensive threats. On the other end, our offense was a joke, with Gordon bricking shots left and right, Baron Davis turning it over, and Blake Griffin getting to the line at will, but missing all of his attempts. We ended up down 58-47 at the half.

The third quarter saw the same lackadaisical defensive effort. However, Eric Gordon kept us in it. He scored 14 of his 35 points in the third quarter, to keep us within striking distance. Then, in the fourth, things turned around. Rasual Butler turned the game around with three consecutive three pointers to give us our first lead since the second quarter. Behind him, Gordon and the surprisingly solid Ramon Sessions, we would finish the fourth quarter shooting 77% en route to a 116-112 victory.

Gordon was the obvious player of the game with 35 points, 6 assists and 4 boards. Michael Beasley had 24 points for the losing side, while Kevin Love posted 17 and 15. Blake Superior led the team at the half, but took a back seat in the second half, finishing with a cool 19 points and 14 rebounds. Tomorrow night, the Excremento Queens will come to Staples and play us. Be there, or be a rhombus.
