CLIPPERS HIRE A NEW GM
The Clippers have struggled early this season despite rookie Blake Griffin's dominant play, which lead to the organization to hire a new GM, KidJustin.
It was quite surprising that the organization would demote Neil Olshey at the end of their short 3-game Eastern Conference road trip instead of waiting until they went back to Los Angeles where they will be enjoying a long home stand.
There is very little known about him, which raises speculations on why he was chosen to be the new GM. His Wikipedia page is short and simply reads:Most well known playing playground (Street) basketball in Los Angeles, but disappeared from everyone's radar.
The Clippers fired Mike Dunleavy last season from his GM position shortly after he stepped down as head coach, Neil Olshey served as interm GM. Olshey was most recognized for his additions in the last draft, picking up both Al-Farouq Aminu and Eric Bledsoe. His free agency decisions were not as highly regarded.
Owner, Donald T. Sterling (DTS); President, Andy Roser; and Head Athletic Trainer Jasen Powell are the only hold overs now. Neither were able to be reached for comments.
The demotion of Neil Olshey does not cost DTS any money as he was already on the payroll either way; and speculations are that KidJustin's contract is quite minimal due to his lack of experience. The hiring of KidJustin allows the organization to shake things up without DTS unloading his wallet.
KidJustin did tweet this:On a mission to turn the Clips around! Expect big things. and soon! GO CLIPPERS!
The Clippers will face off against the Bulls in Chicago later tonight where another rookie GM was hired this season, GM George Koukoulis was asked to comment on the Clippers awkward decision. It is really interesting to see what this move by the Clippers will have as a result. I don't know KidJustin at all, but I'm waiting for a great surprise from Donald Sterling. As for know, I'm focusing for the game against the Clippers, and hopefully my team will get the win today. Good Luck to the new GM, and hopefully he can get Clipps back on the winning track.

CHICAGO BULLS
1-2
Streak: 1Lvs. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
2-3
Streak: 1WUnited Center - Chicago, IL Nov. 13, 2010 - 7:30 PM (PST) Matchups Derrick Rose PG Baron Davis Kyle Korver SG Eric Gordon Loul Deng SF Ryan Gomes Carlos Boozer PF Blake Griffin Joakim Noah C Chris Kaman GORDON'S TIES CAREER HIGH IN POINTS, CLIPPERS WIN IN 2OT
THE FACTS: Clippers dominated most of the game with their defense. They forced the Bulls to shoot 45% in the first compared to their 72%. Coach Vinny Del Negro also took a chance and sub-ed in DeAndre Jordan for Chris Kaman early. Kaman would end up playing with the second unit in the 2Q where the Clippers would end up enjoying a 14 Point lead. Derrick Rose kept on fighting however and eventually got the Bulls within 2 points in the 4Q, he would end up forcing a turnover in the next possession and moved the ball ahead where Ashton Kutcher, I mean Kyle Korver hit a big 3 to give them their first lead. On the following play Baron Davis would get fouled, hit his first FT but miss his 2nd. Luckily DeAndre Jordan grabbed the rebound and put the Clippers back up by 3 with a dunk. Rose kept on and eventually tied the game and pushed a 4 point lead. By this time, Blake Griffin has tweaked his ankle but was still able to play so Eric Gordon took over and tied the game up at 108. The Bulls had 11 seconds to set up an offense but a poke by Baron Davis lead to Eric Gordon diving on the ground to save the ball, but since LA had no more time outs Baron was forced to throw up a prayer at half court that bounced of the rim and then out. Overtime. Gordon continued to carry the load scoring 7 out of the Clippers first 12 points leading to an 10-2 run. Rose, Deng, and Korver tired to fight back and would tie the game. Gordon had a chance to win it with 4 second remaining, but missed after some solid defense by Kyle Korver. Overtime...#2. This time Blake, bad ankle and all, helped out Gordon and continued to contest shots, grab rebounds, and even sealed the game with a posterizing dunk on Omer Asik.
THE STAT: Clippers defense won them the game despite turning the ball over 35 times!
QUOTABLE: new GM KidJustin, who happen to be watching the game in the stands decided to seat himself right next to the Bulls new GM George K., "Look out! Clippers are going to be big this season. This game was real fun! Don't ya think George? They really handled the Bulls! I know you don't know me, but after this you better recognize! See ya in LA!"
GM George K responded, "It was a loss which can occur from time to time. But I still think the Bulls will complete a great season and look far to the playoffs. Also,I want you to know that a surprise is on its way.Hopefully it will be a pleasant one!"Doris Burke just finished an interview with Coach Vinny Del Negro when a piece of paper fell out of his coat pocket as he was walking back through the tunnel. Doris picked it up and opened it. It read "I know why they hired you..." along with a surveillance photo of now former Clippers GM Neil Olshey and new Spurs owner Thierry Tirieux secretly exchanging a package. Doris with a puzzled look on here face hid the note from the camera man.
HOT: Blake Griffin had 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots. He only missed 3 baskets.
NOT: Chris Kaman had 0 points, he did not even put up a shot attempt. He did not play late in the 4th nor in either OT. He only had 23 minutes compared to DeAndre's 37 minutes.
GOOD MOVE: DeAndre Jordan had 3 blocks tonight, his last one came in 1OT when Carlos Boozer had a chance to take a 2 point lead with only 6 seconds remaining. DJ not only swatted the ball but forced it off of Boozer, along the Clippers 4 seconds to set up a game winner.
(Eric Gordon would miss the shot and the game would go into 2OT)
BAD MOVE: The game was close and Blake continued to play hard, but after a missed shot by Kyle Korver hit the backboard. The ball was already a turnover and going to the Clippers, but Blake's intense play already put him in the air to try to get the rebound. He ended up landing awkwardly and twisted his ankle, luckily it was only minor
Injuries: Blake Griffin twisted his ankle late in the 4Q. He would re-enter the game and play all 10 minutes in both overtimes. He is considered hurt and day-to-day. He will not miss any games
