Is it possible to download the newer game update versions instead of the 05 version? Or is it not compatible?

They're not compatible. The 2005 rosters are originally converted from 08 anyway (by way of 07 and 06) so as far as ratings are concerned, everything's the same (though 2005 calculates the overalls a little differently).

How can I access the DUNKPACK file under the players.dbf? I would just switch the roster patch DUNKPACK file with the Default DUNKPACK file.

Open players.dbf with DB Commander. More info can be found here:

Roster update seemed to crash upon running nba2005.exe. Never had this type of problem with any of the previous updates. Anyone having similar problem? Thxs.

I haven't had any crashes like that when testing the patch. What's the error message that's displayed?

I have a strange problem. When I load NLSC 1011 or uninjured 1011 roster, everytime I want to dunk or shoot with kobe bryant game close itself and another strange problem is that I can't dunk or layup with dwanye wade and lebron james. Any ideas what could it be wrong? All other rosters work prefectly fine

I also had the same problem like yours. All you have to do is to go to your gameplay settings and reset your settings. After doing that, my players can dunk again. Hope that helps.

It doesn't work. Problem is that I only can't dunk or layup with LeBron, Wade and Kobe all other players are dunking just fine only these three are acting strange

Disregard my first reply. My attempt failed for that too. But hey, I've downloaded a fix for the dunk package. Andrew released it a while ago. It fixed the problem!!! Thanks Andrew!

Here are a couple of fixes for v3.8 of the rosters. I've also re-uploaded fixed versions so if you download them from now on, everything should be fine.

my game crashes in dynasty mode during the draft, i assume it is when it tries to load certain player's profiles.

can't say exactly which players were these, but it crashed somewhere over the last players in the list when they are rearranged by their overall status.

by the way, the patch rocks hard!

Try re-loading the roster before re-loading the Dynasty save. It shouldn't be necessary but it does seem to resolve assorted crashing issues.

Good to hear. I thought I added that to the FAQ section in the readme file, if not I'll have to do that for future releases as it's been a fairly effective fix for those random lock-ups and crashes when loading a Dynasty save.

When i click on C.Elonu , he plays at PF positone or V. Claver, he plays at SF position Game ALWAYS CRASHES..... any fix for that ? Or how can i delete them ?

Whereabouts? Do you mean in the Edit Player screen?

The regular version (NLSC1011) contains up to date rosters with accurate lineups as of the date it was released. The Uninjured version ignores all injuries. This is explained in the readme file.

When i want to sign free agents, or when i want to go with them on practice, play one on one , etc.... every time when i click, just crash without report ( only send or dont send )

That's the first I've heard of the issue, it could be a problem with portraits. I'll check it out.

Hey Andrew, I've kind of had the same problems above as far as free agent crashes. Anytime I click on Victor Claver, the game crashes. How do I delete a player completely off of the game? I don't think Claver will be signing soon so i'm not worried, I could just create him if he did.

I've double checked and it's the portrait files. Remove the plyrprts~VICLAVE.big and plyrprts~CHELONU.big files from your sgsm folder.
