You gonna win like 75 games with that team? What's your record now.

Most wins I had in that association was 68. My record is 40+ something and the ASG was just finished, can't be assed to look or do the math right now. :P
I don't expect to break 70 wins, for some reason the game seems to throw a monkey wrench at you when just you thought you are going to break or match a record.
The team just went psycho with the wins when Durant announced that he was retiring after that season.

I mostly sim that's why I reach that far in most of my associations.

Tru dat! Though I'm still planning to finish that 2K10 association even if I start a 2K11 association once the patch comes out.
Got to almost 20 years in that 2K10 OKC association, might as well finish the last 25+ seasons.

Player comparisons of my roster:

Hope - Carmelo Anthony with defense and a bit of a post game on both ends. Got him as a 4th pick seasons ago. Will replace Durant as my main option on the perimeter when KD retires after this season.

Drew - Gary Payton. Plays defense really well and can post up (ratings says so) even at 6-2! Unlike The Glove, kid's got mad hops. That's why the bpg.
Yes, 2K takes into account the Vertical rating for Blocks, like it considers the Hustle rating for Rebounds. Traded for him then as a rookie from the Bucks (11th pick). He's so good on defense that I have no trouble sliding him to SG to guard players shorter than 6-7.

Franklin - Amar'e Stoudemire with defense. Also got him from the Bucks (13th pick) as a rookie when he wasn't happy playing alongside Bogut. Dude's so fast that he's the first one on D. His shot animation is the same as Durant's that's why I have no trouble sinking the midrange J with him.

Bradley - Tim Duncan, on defense anyway. 1st pick, still on rookie contract. Shows signs of being a monster one day in my association.

Lewis - rookie I got again from the Bucks (9th), I deal with the Bucks like Knicks used to deal with the Bulls. They were loaded with guards and I had a PF to spare which they badly needed, PF is now getting a double-double with them. No player comparison as I'm still feeling his game. Good at slashing, streaky jumper. Had 37 pts. with him in the season opener. Sixth man.

Bishop - Kendrick Perkins. Fouls like Perk too. Same rookie class as Bradley. Got him with the 7th pick. Will let him go/trade when his contract is up, can't afford him with the way his overall rating is improving. That money is already reserved for Bradley.
Murray - old timer I got for the MLE this season. Badly needed a vet to backup Drew.
Chuck Morris- same with Murray, old timer so no player comparison to base on. Still good to play with for his few occasional putbacks.

Yi - rookie drafted from the 2nd round. Haven't played any games. Probably plays like shite.
Francis - same as Yi. Good at the fast break and nothing else.
Fulton - same as those two above. Was hoping for him to be my primary PG backup until realizing that the whiteboy sucked.

...also have another (2nd rd.) rookie PF and vet PF in IR. Had to draft 4 2nd rounders in the recent draft to fill my roster and I need their minimum salary for 'cap flexibility' to sign Bradley once his rookie contract is up this season or the next.

Your team can still dominate after KD retires, if your association has it's own thread I will surely follow it

Planning to with 2K11 but considering the way I play Association (mostly sim. About 5 games a season and that already includes the ASW. Same with playoffs, only game 7's or ones that close out a series) I'm not even hoping on myself. :P :(

As wrote before, finished the season with the Raptors 41-41. 7th in the East and got Hawks in the 1st round. Won both games in Atlanta and thought jobs done.. Lost series 2-4, shit happens.

David West left the team in a free agency ,cos was not happy with a 6th man role, behind Boozer and Oden.
K.Brown, E.Dampier,J.Pargo, Tim Thomas and I.Udoka expired contracts, did not bother to resign. Only did a qualifying offer to Daniel Green.

Signed
T.Murphy, T.Prince, T.Chandler, J.Stackhouse. D.Green accepted the offer.

Traded
J.Bayless and J. Stackhouse to Cavs for J.J. Hickson and D.Stevenson

Roster for season 2011-2012

PG J.Jack/ K.Hinrich
SG J.Salmons/ D.Green/D.Stevenson
SF L.Kleiza/ T.Prince
PF C.Boozer/ J.J.Hickson
C G.Oden/ T.Murphy/ T.Chandler

Tried Fantasy Draft for the first time with 2K11.

My squad :

C - Ben Wallace/Ronny Turiaf
F - Kevin Love/Frye
F - Rashard Lewis/Dorell Wright/Kyle Korver
G - Dwyane Wade/Corey Brewer
G - Mo Williams/CJ Watson

At first I had Aldridge and Devin Harris, but swapped them for Love and Mo. Won 49 games (played 2) and lost in the ECF. Stephen Jackson was Finals MVP.
I got the Bulls 1st round pick, 7th overall, and drafted Enes Kanter. We'll see how it goes. He will be the starter. I didn't have any expiring contracts, so no FA signings.

Did a Shadow like association in 2k10 with the Mavs. Went 5 years ahead, with Dirk's last year. Was the 5 seed, beat the 4 seeded Kings, and am currently trying to win the series vs Thunder after being down 3-1. Here's my roster

PG: LeBron, Will Mcinnis
SG: Caron Butler, Leo Aguiliar
SF: Ross Ewing, Damion James, Jason Dillion
PF: Dirk Nowitzki, Arthur Lynch
C: Tyson Chandler, Serge Ibaka, James Augustine

After the first season, my team didn't make the playoffs until now. My goal is to get Dirk a ring in his last year.

Just played a game, Mavs 156, Thunder 143. Not really close, LeBron had 19 points, and 14 assists

I'm the Suns. My rotation is:

PG: Steve Nash; Goran Dragic; Matt Janning (IN)
SG: Vince Carter; Mickael Pietrus
SF: Grant Hill; Jared Dudley; Josh Childress
PF: Channing Frye; Hakim Warrick; Gani Lawal
C: Robin Lopez; Marcin Gortat; Garret Siler (IN)

I'm 2-4 so far. I've either been blown out or I blow the opponent out. I tried Gortat at PF for a game. Huge disaster. I've only had one realistic game (game 1), which is why I'm so upset with my sliders. Nothing I try works. I guess I just suck at basketball games, but I'm still gonna do the association.

Although you must applaud Thierry for getting to where he is up to in his story. I for one did not expect him to reach 43 games.

And Lamrock, I was just joking. I want to see one final story from you :)

They are turrible. I probably won't make a new story though, anyway. Carry on with yours though! (And good luck on lasting 38 more games + playoffs, Thierry - you can do it!)

I gave you a good idea a while ago Lamrock. You can use it if you wish but don't disclose to anybody else, as if something happened to my Wolves' story then I'd entertain the idea.

Ah yes, I remember that. It is a good one, but I don't own NBA 2K8 (I'd do it slightly differently).
