Youngsters on top
- Started the season with a 7-0 record and now holding a conference best 13-5. The young squad is now leading the Western Conference and second in the league. It's all because of their efficient scorer Kevin Durant, he's scoring 30.8 points per game (second in the league), grabbing almost eight rebounds a game, however he's still need to improve his sharing ability and passing because his only averaging 1.3 assists per game. Another significant player on the team is Russell Westbrook, he's continuing to blossom his career and playing effectively for the team, Westbrook is scoring 19.1 points dishing 7.1 points, he needs to cut his 3.2 turnover rate however. Rookie signee from Japan, Eiji Sawakita is a gem for the team and currently on the Rookie Ladder race. Jeff Green is underachieving and scoring only 11.9 points, it's still the first month though.
The team still needing a rebounder, the size advantage had cost the Thunder against the Lakers series last Playoffs, and they are looking for a player who can grab the boards, fill the space and defend big man in the post. There's Serge Ibaka who's blocking shots and rebounding but still, they need a legit center if they want to be a really dangerous team.
Soaring high
- Joe Johnson's contract is currently paying off. After signing a questionable contract for 6 years and earning himself $123.66 million, Joe is playing at his best right now and didn't want to disappoint. His scoring 23.4 points per game, 5.4 assists per game and a career high 2.4 steals per game. Johnson is learning his new position, a small forward after their new coach Larry Drew mixed their lineup a bit and decided to insert Jamal Crawford into the starting lineup, the last year Sixth Man of the Year is currently averaging a career high 22.9 points, on 52% shooting, 40% in treys. His contract is still expiring, and teams are trying to bait him. Josh Smith and Al Horford maybe one of the powerful backcourt in the league. J-Smoove is shooting the ball very well by his 55% FG (fifth in the league), and Horford is averaging a double-double, 11.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. The Hawks are currently 14-4 tied with the Miami Heat. Can the Hawks maintain their flight?
Success in Bay Area
- The Warriors actually good! Yes, you heard it right. They are sitting atop in points per game category, by scoring a 110.5 points per game all because of their dynamic scorer Monta Ellis. The Warriors is now 12-6 after November and better than last year. Ellis is leading the team by his 27.9 points (seventh in the league), what is surprising about Monta is his sharing the basketball and scoring nonstop at the same time, he's dishing 6 assists per game, a career-best. Sophomore Stephen Curry is on the spotlight too, scoring 22.7 points, upping his last year average by 5 points, he's shooting 54% in the field, 47% in three. Free agent signee David Lee finally found his team in the Warriors, averaging a double-double, Lee might play on his second All-Star game. He's scoring 21.8 points, grabbing 10.9 rebounds. Three 20 plus scorer in a team, if they continue to play like this, they might squeek to the Playoffs.

Fine like wine
- The 32 year old forward Stephen Jackson is playing his best basketball of his career right now. Captain Jax is posting a career bests in points, rebounds, FG, 3PT FG categories. His averaging 24.8 points per game on a 48% shooting including 44% in three point, grabbing 5.4 rebounds and helping the Bobcats to repeat their Playoff run last season. The Bobcats now are 10-7. Injuries however is currently bugging the team, Gerald Wallace and Boris Diaw is out of the active roster and sidelined for weeks.
King of the team
- Tyreke Evans opened the season with a bang, by scoring a career-high 52 points. Their center Samuel Dalembert is healthy and crashing the boards by his 11.5 rebounds (fourth in the league), he needs to score more though. By then, he continue to shine, after the first month, Evans is scoring 24.6 points per game, best among the 2009 draft class. By holding a neutral 8-8 record, we can say that the Kings are on their way to improvement and Evans will be the main key.
LeBron who?
- Despite the team record, Antawn Jamison is relaxed and playing at his best after the leader has gone. Now he found his new role, the captain of the team. His leading the Cavaliers and scoring 25 points per game, a career best, 8.8 rebounds, and also shooting 51% on the field. The Cavaliers might drop in the postseason, but it's too early too tell, all we know is, Jamison is now on his old form and maybe make the All-Star team again.

- Orlando Magic strengthen their roster by their blockbuster trades in just their first month, Magic acquired Gilbert Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson on a two separate deals. They part ways somehow with Vince Carter and Rashard Lewis who's playing poorly. Read more...
- Michael Finley found a team again. The San Antonio Spurs re-signed veteran Michael Finley on a 1 year deal. Finley averaged 4.4 points last year with the Celtics and Spurs.

To be perfectly honest this is pretty close to the best association i've ever seen on this site, congrats man. I just started a Thunder association tonight. I'm wondering what your planning to do with the roster. Are you thinking of making any trades or are you going to wait till the offseason?
Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:38 pm
Wow thanks, as of now, I'm looking for a rebounding, defensive-minded center. That's the weakness of OKC I think, let's see if I can pull some before the deadline.

@Justine
Hello, How did you got Eiji in the Association? Did you transfer you MP to your Association? I also want to start My Own Association but I want to use My Player in the Association. Or did you just convert a CF of one the Draftees?

Oklahoma City Thunder VS.
Golden State Warriors

OKLAHOMA CITY—Kevin Durant scored a massive 43 points, grabbed nine rebounds and recorded three assists to help the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 117-102 victory over the visiting Golden State Warriors.
