Sounds like it got a little ugly with a scoreless stretch late in the fourth, but they managed to hold on. Next up are the Knicks on Christmas Day; they've stumbled a bit recently and haven't been that great at home, but if they catch fire like they did in the previous game in Chicago, they're going to be tough to handle. Nevertheless, here's hoping for the best.

Re-watched the Sixers-Bulls. It was awesome, when Scalabrine came in, it was like game #7 of the NBA Finals, Bulls up by 50. Every time he touched the ball, the crowd was louder then during any point in the first 43 minutes. And when he finally scored, it was just nuts.

It's not uncommon for 12th men like him to be popular with the home crowd, but Scalabrine's insanely popular. Seems he's still fairly well liked by the Celtics' fanbase as well.

I think a lot of fanbase that goes to games can relate to Scalabrine. White guy, ginger hair, not the least bit athletic, relies on smarts & a jump shot.

A lot better than Andrew Bogut's, that's for sure :P

hack a bogut next tuesday...

how about that- a bulls-knicks game on X-mas day. and both teams are relevant. last time was when.. Ewing and Jordan still in the league?

plenty of time til the Knicks game, which bodes well for Taj cartwright. Bulls have no one to stop Amar'e. Could see this turning into a Blake Griffin situation where all the frontcourt players get in foul trouble guarding him. i'd rather see him go off for 50 then see the rest of the team go bonkers from 3pt line like last time.

This will be an interesting match up. I just hope that Booze can outplay Amare. If he plays well and Rose is on his usual great game Bulls have many chances to win.

Bout Scal. I think his style generally is appealing to the fans. A nice guy...

Bucks/Bulls is being shown here next week. (Y) As far as the Christmas Day games, only Lakers/Heat is being shown here live, though they'll be a replay of the Celtics/Magic game in the evening.

perhaps a Scal thread of his own?? the dude is a another human victory cigar. he's a scrub. at least Stacey King when he would come in on garbage time would try and hit 3's with the game clock winding down (and get fined for it)

i think it's embarrassing that fans at the UC get all giddy when he comes in the game. i wonder where this all started. i much rather see James Johnson come in and try dunk on someone or foul out in 3 minutes of play

Maybe it's the human victory cigar element, excitement for the win that's all but in the books as much as it is Scalabrine's appearance.

Big game tomorrow for both team's... I wonder who's going to guard Boozer from our side? I say Wilson Chandler starts the game off on him, and towards the end Amar'e will probably guard him. Containing Rose is going to be a whole other issue.

On a side note, this is the Knicks second game against the Bulls, and for the second time the Bulls aren't 100%. First missing Boozer, now missing Noah and possibly Gibson. It seems very likely that these two teams will meet in the first round of the playoffs (either as the 4/5 matchup or the 3/6 matchup.) I'd like to see the Knicks play the Bulls at 100%.

Rose's box score looks ridiculous, has some huge numbers on it: 25 points (12-28 from the field, no threes made), 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, also 7 turnovers and 6 blocked attempts. Also Boozer missed a 20/20 by a rebound.

As expected, Bulls lose. Now they just need to win the rest except for Bucks game & they've gone 4 of 7 as predicted (Y)

z02, and he had that numbers with 6 minutes remaining on the clock!!
He didn't do anything on the final minutes! And that's the main reason we lost that game....

As the 4th quarter started I was pretty sure Rose would get a triple(or a quadraple) double with the pace he was playing. He was just everywhere. But unexpectedly,he did nothing on the rest of the 4th,missing a crucial 3 with the game on 6 points and with 30 seconds left.
I expected as well Korver to step up too on the 4th.He missed some crucial threes as well. Deng scored a clutch 3 to cut down the lead to 5,and Boozer was the only real danger for the Knicks on the 4th...

Bulls were generally bad form 3-point shootin.4-14 is bad...

Wins till the end of the year, and I believe 5 of 7 is the most probable.

I was going by the online listings, which had the Celtics/Magic game down as delayed. It wouldn't have mattered for me anyway, I didn't get up early enough for that one.

Shame they couldn't avenge the loss in Chicago. :( At least they've got a good opportunity to bounce back tomorrow against the Pistons.

The NBA.com listings? They erroneously showed live games the other week, you might want to try a different source.

sloppy game. when the Bulls made that run at the end... Amar'e foot was clearly in the circle on the charging call made against Boozer. i think NYk scored on the following possession. that was a 5pt swing. end of ball game

but hey- they didn't deserve to win anyway. should've taken care of the ball. that laundry fields guy was friggin everywhere. i sure wish we had that guy as the starting SG instead of that bum Bogans

at least since they lost this one- they should be interested enough to play against the Pistons

Blake griffin.

Landry is a nice player, I love his game. That putback on the missed free throw was a heads up play. If you see the replay he lulled korver to sleep. Acted like nothing was going to happen then flew to the rim for the and-one.

Fields is looking like a great steal for New York. Walt Frazier was hyping him as Rookie of the Year during the Celtics/Knicks game last week, but I too would have to go with Griffin for that honour. Nothing against Fields, Griffin has just been that impressive so far.

That's only two errors out of all the games that have been listed and shown here though, so it's not like it's notorious for being frequently incorrect. Still, it probably would pay to check my local guide each week as well, that's something I'll probably do from now on seeing as it's happened a couple of times. As I said though it wouldn't have mattered yesterday, I wouldn't have been up early enough.

Bulls are leading the Pistons at the half. Boozer with 18 and 8 already.

Close call against the Pistons but fortunately they hang on for the OT win. Rose came just two assists shy of a triple double.

bucks game was pretty crappy. bulls surprisingly were outrebounded. looks like Rose was hesitant to go all the way to rim whenever Bogut was in the game. not sure if it was good defense, injury, bucks playing a 2nd of a back to back... but Bogut looked fatigued and was pretty ineffective on offense. and those 2 FT's by him.. those were down right scary. at least when Ben Wallace missed ft's- it would be an airball. even i was flinching from those Bogut bricks.

Bulls finally gave the knockout punch late in the 4th

Douglas-Roberts pulled a "charles smith" and got blocked 4 times by Taj Gibson lol
